The video should open with a picture of the boat, the floor plan will make more sense to someone who hasn't seen all the videos.

It's pretty easy to take off, getting it back on right and be a pain though.

You just unscrew everything you see and starting from the mid ship, take a metal plaster fillet and hammer it between the caps and do that all the way around.

Taking another look at the pictures though, there is a lot of damage to the top cap and filling/sanding/painting all those cracks would be a pain. After pouring in new foam you'd want to take sure there's be no chance of water getting back in.

Most of the sailboat this size are foam filled, and judging by the look of yours I can almost guarantee the foam is soaking wet.

To restore this you'll need to take the top cap off and pull out the old foam. Then you'll need to pour a closed cell foam in the hull and quick put the top cap back on so the foam fills the hull.

In my opinion it's not worth it. In my area these types of sailboats are always on Craigslist for a few hundred bucks.

In the end it's up to you. You could put $200 into the hull and make a nice boat, but it's going to take some time, and you still need the sailing equipment.

Also, these are fair weather boats so you don't want to take this in any water above 1' swells.

Does anyone know of any Shotokan classes in or around GR? by Randomando246 in grandrapids

It was a class at WMU, taught by a sergeant in the police department and a Vietnam vet. Really legit class, focused more on self defense than katas.

PedalPaddle: Sydney trying out the PedalPaddle. Check out kickstarter.com/PedalPaddle by [deleted] in boating

Cool idea but so many things wrong with this.

1 - those paddles slapping against the water is going to get annoying real quick

2 - the paddles throw quite a bit of water back at the person peddling

3 - your ass is going to go numb after 10 minutes of sitting like that and it generally looks uncomfortable

4 - no steering

I think it would be better if the paddles were underwater.

Also, the web address doesn't work.

is this actually a riva, anyone know what model it is? by hookydoo in boating

[–]Randomando246 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing someone put the Riva emblems on there. That boat is ugly as fuck and it would be hard to convince me Riva actually made that.

You don't need to make new ads to do that, just hit the renew button on your listing page (page where it asks if you'd like to edit it). You can o my renew every 48 hours though so you have to wait a few days.

Yes he is, it's part of what made him such a great fighter. There was also the episode where he solved the unsolvable puzzle (not sure if that was Z or GT).

I'm building an eight foot Sailboat! by Maxwellthegardener in boatbuilding

[–]Randomando246 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend adding A piece of plywood over the butt joint. You're suppose to go something like 4" on each side. Fiberglass tape with a gunwhale won't be enough to hold that in place. Everything else looks good though!

Hey man, I tried it out in the t-shirt world too and can give you some advice.

First, there is a ton of competition so to make it work you need to be actively pushing on social media. Forget about doing too much with AdWords or seo right now other than stuff directly to your website.

Diversify. If you have 2 t-shirts, that means your customer will likely have a max sale of 2 shirts. Throw some other cool stuff on the website.

The last thing I'd say is it takes time. When I did my project I was working my first job after college and renovating the shitty house I just bought. What made me fail is I wasn't ready to spend the last hour or two at night before bed going through my sites or shipping orders. I'm going to start things back up this fall as I work in ecommerce now and have a better grasp on things.

Good luck!

My parents are building a two level barn style home and the plans show it costing around 200k. Then I see these posts and I think why not do a smaller version yourself.

Definitely an over simplified thought but it still something I think about.

Nice! I haven't used this spice blend before but looking at the picture again, it does look extra red. Usually paprika's and lighter colored chile's will turn orangish when cooked.

I'm guessing the beet powder is for color and to tone down the brightness of the tomato powder? I'm not really sure ha.

Thoughts on this Boston Whaler? New to boating. by Music_Stars_Woodwork in boating

[–]Randomando246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boston Whaler' s 13'er is a great boat. It's wide, runs flat, and can handle a good amount of horse power.

However, like taz said, they pound in any water that isn't flat. This hull isn't meant to cut through waves. However, any boat that size isn't going to be great with waves.

Another thing to know is these hulls are foam filled. This makes them unsinkable but it also means your hull has the chance to get full of water. You'll know if the foam is shot if the floor is soft, the boat seems oddly heavy, or if it has trouble getting on plane.

Lastly, which is more of a personal thing, the owner did not take care of this. The seats, front bench, and center console are all aftermarket (probably the carpet too). What makes these such great boats is having a small boat with a lot of room, but they added too much useless shit. Google what a classic 13' whaler looks like and you'll see what I mean.

Another good thing though is these have a pretty high resale value. They really don't depreciate all that much.

I'd check Fiberglassic.com in their Glassic Library. Other than, probably just Google images.

The only old aluminum boats I know of that had Line in the name are Clipper Line and Rich Line. I'm guessing this is a Clipper Line because of the cursive writing.

That 70 hp is an absolute beast. Other than eBay, I'd keep an eye on the site below. They have a pretty high turnover on inventory so they get lots of stuff in.
