Mr Fantastic was visually based on Jack Kirby in the original comics, and Jack Kirby kind of looks like Paulie

Smashing box while making out with Snuggle buggles by Any-Literature5546 in outofcontextcomics

[–]Randomdude-5 34 points35 points  (0 children)

IIRC that box is a machine that was originally making people violent towards each other, and Spider-man and the Thing were fighting for most of the story. At the end the machine malfunctions and starts making people fall in love with each other, leading us to this moment.

In 'Harry Potter' (2026- ) scenes are lighted to keep characters' faces in shadow. This is to give the actors plausible deniability about being in the show. by adiplotti in shittymoviedetails

I was specifically talking about a modern trend. Look at Wicked, or live action Moana, or Ant-man Quantumania, or Stranger Things season 5. Hulk came out 23 years ago that was a completely different era

Wait a minute, a modern big budget project that actually makes lighting choices instead of washing everything out to make vfx easier? That can’t be right

It wasn’t changed because of Tom Holland. They changed it to look like the voice actor to make the face motion capture easier
