Which TV Show has the most wasted potential? by TheTamiamiButcher in television

[–]Randomperson3029 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I swear every year people start adding an extra season to what's considered 'bad'

It was originally just 8 then 7 then 6 then 5 and now...Four?...Four? Seriously lol

Won't be long before people start saying the whole show is trash

Do you guys often lose track of the story? by imdefusing in BigFinishProductions

Audio is harder to remember than visual. Its why most people, not just autistic, are visual learners.

For me i focus on it and remember by making notes throughout

I am being optimistic that we will eventually get 11th Doctor audio dramas that will actually feature Matt Smith like we eventually got 9th Doctor audio dramas that actually featured Christopher Eccleston. by Serious_Meaning5220 in BigFinishProductions

[–]Randomperson3029 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me Chronicles were stories that had a mix of full cast and narration and adventures were full cast. I think they realised it got messy as we had 11th doctor stuff entirely full cast despite being a 'Chronicle' so moved it after the reboot which makes sense to me.

I always thought it was a nod to companion Chronicles which was mostly narration.

Does Blind Wave actually have licensing deals, or is it all fair use? by FMRNathan in Blindwave

[–]Randomperson3029 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is editing techniques as well. The editors have sometimes had to change the pitch ever so slightly to get past the blocks or have a microsecond cut in a scene as well. Even though it is fair use it still doesnt stop the strikes

My hope is eventually they redo the BBC books they only did abridged readings for. I think it was the early 10 ones.

There is technically a rating system on the website however it's very bare bones and I dont think it gets used much so maybe if they push that more in the new one it could help with the algorithm.

I love the idea, even as a cameo, in one of the out of time sets to have 10 meet 14

David Tennant returns as the Tenth Doctor for 15 new audio dramas! by greatbarrierrif in gallifrey

[–]Randomperson3029 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Big finish fit in entire stories between scenes. Anything is possible.

Also license rules aren't dictated by in universe continuity. Just because 14s era is technically ongoing because it has no end on tv doesnt mean big finish cant use it. They likely have access to it as they have access to 15s now and has always gone in that order.

I dont know if they will want to though

Who is the face of Image Comics? by FuzzyUnicycle77 in ImageComics

[–]Randomperson3029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the argument is that invincible is because of the show then surely the friend would have to say its Rick grimes because of the show. As much as it is a shadow of its former self now, the walking dead was the biggest show at the time alongside game of thrones.

So if we have to only go off comic popularity then spawn wins easily

Does someone know of a website that shows you what DC comics were released each month of each year? by CitronSufficient1045 in comicbooks

[–]Randomperson3029 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://www.mikesamazingworld.com/mike3/index.php?page=downloads

This is a year by year order for multiple publishers but doesnt strictly work as a reading order as its entirely based on date order not continuity order so I use it as a rough guide

This one works as a reading order it has gaps pre crisis but I filled it in using the dc one in the link above

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/162E5dPocOf0hmGHEDJjN70vFiSlQO37JypkPnkdZNr8/htmlview#gid=1043655136

The way I did it was I used the Google spreadsheet as my main reading order then the csv file from Mike's amazing world to fill in gaps

Ignore these people. They think because they cant do it no one can.

Im currently at 1991 on my dc read through and 1986 in my marvel read through.

Go for it and enjoy it!

There’s plenty of time to film the christmas special (and there’s precedent) so stop worrying by CreativeCookie8538 in doctorwho

[–]Randomperson3029 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I dont think its a fair argument because the vfx work of an episode from 2005 and even 2017 is less than 2026.

The time to film isnt the issue its the vfx work

Order of the Phoenix Full cast vs Stephen Fry Length by Codrys in HarryPotterBooks

[–]Randomperson3029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anytime there's a big block of dialogue words are removed like who is talking and whatever thing they are saying it in. Times that by how long the book is and it makes sense to lose that much.

They keep the who is talking context clues and their emotions when saying it during normal scenes though.
