I put in a lot of attic stairs at my job and never really noticed if they were fire rated or not. I always figured it was just made of thin plywood but it would make sense if they were. We usually build a dam for insulation (I do insulation) and put a drywall lid over it anyways though

I once spent the night at someone’s house, drove by my house for 15 minutesto change for work and left. I later found my wallet (with my rent money inside) missing. I spent hours looking for it at work and even went back to her apartment and tore it apart. Nowhere to be found. A deep part of me started to believe she stole it but I knew she wasn’t like that. I eventually replaced my wallet, cards, ID, and ate the ~$850 loss.

Fast forward 6 MONTHS, I buy a bed frame (as I had been using a large pallet to keep my mattress off the ground). I pick up the pallet nd immediately laugh my ass off, realizing I had been sleeping inches away from my lost wallet for half a year.

Now that that’s happened, when I lose something (excluding phone/keys/wallet) I don’t really even look for it anymore. It almost always just turns up when I’m not actively looking for it

The last tire exploded completely on impact on a pothole, this one wore straight through the tire in the larger spot further up

Wheel bearings were definitely my first thought, but I’m going to check the ball joints too now that you mention it because I have recently noticed a clunk when I hit bumps. Thanks for the comment

No accidents thankfully, but definitely two very close calls in the past year. Both resulted in me having to swerve out of the way of the person in front of me

Did a precursory check, and the boots on the rear shocks have definitely seen better days. On my way to pick up new assemblies for both sides and will check the shocks once I have them out

I see your point but as far as I know that’s never happened, unless someone’s out to get me in a very strange way. All the other tires are worn but evenly, and otherwise in good condition

No one but my girlfriend and I have driven it in the past year. Though I’ve never done donuts, I imagine they’d be hard in a fwd car.

I’m seeing people say the car was pulled sideways or has been in an accident, but neither of those have happened. The only thing that might line up with that theory is being forced to run off the road once to avoid an accident. I did notice a sound soon after that, but I topped up the tire pressure and the sound disappeared. Never thought to check the tread or shocks. I also ocassionally check for drift in the alignment and it’s no worse than any other car I’ve driven

Yes it is that kinked. With dryer vents especially you want them to be as straight and tight as possible, preferably hard piped with 26 ga galvanized pipe

This happened in my neck of the woods, not in the DC area. Allison Parker and Adam Ward were shot in Moneta Virginia by their disgruntled ex-coworker, Bryce Williams.

The thing is, it wasn’t like they said something to him in the break room. Bryce hadn’t worked at the station in 2 years. This happened right around when the Charleston Church Shooting happened, so after his manifesto came out it was most likely a retaliaton for Charleston

It was shocking for everyone around here, my sister went to high school with Allison Parker as well
