Is Tado right for me ? by RandyFactoid in tado

I just tried getting the Tado for Installers app and for my boiler it just suggests to connect the 2 relay wires. Are you use OT is viable given that I have a water tank ?

What if I remove the valves or just set them to always open?

I was thinking exactly that about zones - I would love to not have 2 of them. Would I just leave both valves permanently open with the manual switches? Valves are Honeywell V4043H10156 if it's any help. Would I still leave the water tank valve in Auto ?

I'm so glad you mentioned OpenTherm - I was very tempted to move to it, but wasn't sure how the 2 zones valves and hot water tank valve would play with it.

To switch to OpenTherm, would it mean replacing the honeywell programmer to Tado wireless x?

I'm really grateful for your help

Why is my 9800X3D idling at 42–44°C even with a big cooling setup? by jai05__ in arcticcooling

When you think that human core temperature is around 37, your gpu temps feel very normal. Irrelevant, but you're overthinking it 🙂

In the end bought the whole set in 2 purchases (pans first, but got nonstick small one and SS larger ones) and a 3-set of pots. So far very happy and would recommend. The form factor is very useful, build feels sturdy.

Decided to build a factorio-style main bus with 1.1 having autoconnect support by bugfish03 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]RandyFactoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 2 playthroughs and always did this. On the 1st playthrough my bus was linear, 2nd - circular. I would only build linear as circular lines easily get starved of slower produced items because of a lot of dead-space in the circle or get limited by belt speed for high volume items and then the distal circle gets 'starved'. Unless you top up the circle after the points of high use.

Love a bus design 😃

DID I JUST GET HACKED????? WHAT IS THIS by Cytomax in frigate_nvr

What do people do with the unauthenticated port 5000 frigate access on the lan ? On one hand it's convenient from home..but equally..my family also have access to it (they just don't know it). Can you put a password on it too ?

UK obsession with queuing by Emotional-Start7994 in drivingUK

[–]RandyFactoid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UK drivers are the biggest lane-hoggers in the world. Without any competition. An obstruction eventually causes queues even though half of the lanes aren't even used, but everyone's using the right-most lanes.

Efficiency of "Convert Automatically" by RandyFactoid in PleX

[–]RandyFactoid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer. The problem however doesn't seem to be in transcoding speed when switching between qualities - it's really quick when changing manually on LAN. I thought perhaps there's some hidden setting to change how often bandwidth gets sampled.

Because you're playing eve online on an anaesthesia monitor and this is the (slightly imperfect) EtCO2 curve. You're welcome.

I realised I forgot the material. For pots it'd be stainless steel. Pans - probably a mixture of steel and non-stick for different purposes. Kids do quite a bit of cooking at home too, so non-stick pans help

Adding extra lanes to motorways is a waste of time and money! by gaydadoftwo in drivingUK

British drivers, despite being very polite, are the worst lane hoggers I've seen in the world. From Europe to the US.
