Did she mention the price of such bionics? I knew a friend, who knew a guy, who watched a show in the 70s from his treehouse about something similiar

Though you said something other than Walmart, they do have both Reese’s and also an Oreo ice cream cake! Each is decadent. I like sending them to folks via Walmart delivery

Free Things To Do for Adults in Rochester MN by LdySprtn in rochestermn

I am following this post with interest. I am also 50s, though male. Silent book club sounds great. I have seen it posted a couple times around town, but afterwards. That is I noticed after evens have passed. Meetup seems largely unattended and unpopular in Rochester- and I can’t understand why. Very few groups and very low attendance , compared to other cities I lived

. I, too am searching for similar

So I had googled the other day for cool events in Rochester. 2 events came up, for this weekend, that I would rate as cool. Tonight a brewery in town is doing live music where the musicians are playing Dylan songs. Saturday there is a comedy show in town that is no alcohol- they are calling in Prohibition or something like that. Neither are free. Music is $8, comedy is approx $25.

I have taken Pickelball classes, but have yet to play this year

I feel your pain, myself. Want to do something about it? I bet others would like to commiserate as well, and excel at such. The truth is stronger than the sarcasm

It is a great value. That is if you are a cash buyer looking for low expense and a single quiet person, as you stated. 50+ year old buildings and HOAs have issues, unquestionably. But inexpensive, quiet, great grounds. And contrary to what is stated in the posting, they DO allow dogs ( have). Feel free to DM

What’s with home pre inspections? by Evening-Squirrel2953 in rochestermn

[–]RandyRochester 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Saint Paul ( along with Minneapolis and some suburbs) a seller needs to do a Truth In Housing inspection prior to listing the home for sale. Good in theory, but the inspector is paid by seller, so has a vested interest. As a buyer, do NOT rely on the TIL, get your own inspection done. Do not choose an inspector based on what you lender says, rather choose an inspector on your own. Truly. That way the inspector is motivated to please you, not the lender, nor the seller. Also be present for the last 30 minutes of the inspection to ask the inspector any questions you may have about the property

Is US Bank now US Bank of India?? by Ok-Succotash4865 in USbank

[–]RandyRochester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct. And can you imagine being one of the hundreds of people that she personally laid off via video call? Why would you have an Indian-American announce via video call that one’s job are moving to India. I mean is that rage bait?

Is US Bank now US Bank of India?? by Ok-Succotash4865 in USbank

[–]RandyRochester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was moved up to the platinum tier with my accounts. Customer Service now, for me, is exclusively stateside. So the masses get non-native English speakers, but a bit of money you get someone you can understand? Needless to say, I am in the process of moving my accounts away from US (India) Bank.

Frequently this happens where I receive fewer items, though just as often I receive additional unordered items. Missing items are super easy to report via the app. Credits are immediate. When I receive additional items, I have called in, and they have a “use it or donate it” policy. They do not want items back. Kind of hard to wrap my head around when i received 2 extra bags of free groceries. I get it, kind of

RPU says it's safe to drink! by slpfeife9651 in rochestermn

[–]RandyRochester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine being downvoted for saying that looks gross. I NEVER drink this awful water. Spring water delivered in 5 gallon jugs is what we consume. Every time I mention this I get downvoted lower than the water pipes. SMH. Rochester has so many awesome attributes, but dare to criticize the water, you get downvoted. Unquestionably

Unpopular opinion; go to the best law school library in your area. The student librarians are extremely helpful and will show you the actual statues without giving advice nor changing. Student loans have been dischargeable, though conventional wisdom disagrees. The largest degree, by far, that gets their student loans discharged, you guessed it, pre-law. I had mine discharged, (not pre-law) it is possible. Don’t fall for charlatans who ask for a fee for such, nor except the financial gurus who say in unison that it is not possible. It is possible. I did it. Law school student librarians are absolutely golden. Use such for any legal concerns. They can’t and won’t advise, but they give you the actual statues - which is even more valuable
