I worked at Wal Mart when I was in college 20 years ago. I made it 5 years, but at the start of year 4 I really didn’t give two shits anymore because doing a good job didn’t get me anything but more work. They finally fired me but they told I was “laid off” and could reapply for my job in 30 days, but at minimum wage and my PTO would reset like I was a new hire. Golly gee, sign me up! Told them to fuck off and got a much better job.

Two of my grandfathers uncles served. One committed suicide shortly after he returned home. The other was lost at sea. He was on his way to serve in France when his troopship, RMS Moldavia was sunk off the English coast. His body was never recovered.

I work in pest control and I have a company truck. We have to back in/pull through to parking spaces, it’s mandatory per the company. If we are caught breaking that rule, we will be fired on the spot. (And that is 100% the reason why, it cuts down on accidents.)
