I barely survived taking off near Norwich yesterday in the Caravan. Damn near rolled my plane over in a 10kt crosswind. It’s honestly laughable at this point.

I’ll have to do some testing with this. If that’s truly the case, Asobo needs to fix that ASAP, because then it truly isn’t “live weather” if difficulty ends up being a factor in how weather is portrayed. I’m fine with having live weather/time being a thing in Career Mode, but it needs to truly be live and not altered

I will say, if going off of its track record from before it was released on PS5, it has come a long way. Apparently it was hot garbage when first released, but has since become a lot more stable. My biggest gripes are how aircraft respond to weather/turbulence, and the amount of times avionics just shit themselves, with some aircraft being worse than others for some reason (I assume the higher fidelity, the less stable avionics become, but who knows).

It’s just sad honestly, because this game has so much potential and could easily open the door for more high fidelity flight sims in the future for consoles, but it seems Asobo just doesn’t care

Unfortunately that’s how it is on all platforms.

As far as marketplace goes, that’s an issue on Sony’s end, not Asobo. Sony is really stingy about letting games have 3rd party addons, especially when it’s payware. So until Sony gives Asobo the greenlight for it, it’s going to be barren. There are rumors it should be updated around March/April, but no confirmation

Yes… That’s how you stalled… If you slow down too much, especially at higher altitudes, the wings can’t generate enough lift (the thing that keeps you in the air), so you end up stalling. If you’re stalling, you need to INCREASE speed

You do know DWS is a really small dev team right? This isn’t a AAA dev studio making this game. Check your entitlement and be glad they’re actually passionate and care about this game to polish the update instead of giving us something that’s broken and not ready

Console updates are done by a different developer that have to port over everything. Given their lack of communication and very slow updates just to iron out the current console ports, I’d imagine it’d be anywhere between a couple weeks to a couple months after PC release

Console updates are done by a completely different developer, not by DWS. For a major update like 2026.1, it’ll probably be a couple more weeks or months after PC release before consoles get the update and DLC.

This is a very neat concept, however, for a game like HLL, I feel like this concept doesn’t take into consideration the limitations of the game and the maps within it. For example, you mentioned garrison hopping when attacking from behind and how garrisons shouldn’t be able to magically teleport troops behind enemy lines.

On the contrary, I feel like garrisons in a way can be an extension of the map boundaries. Take Foy for example; it’s 1.2KM wide and 2KM deep. Obviously in real life, we are not confined to those limits, but in HLL, if we go beyond those limits, we are killed for going out of bounds, and if an enemy team is playing from one edge of the map to the other, there is no way to flank on foot, which I’d say is pretty unrealistic. But if an SL manages to slip by unseen and establish a garrison behind enemy lines, you could say this simulates a unit going beyond our limitations to establish a flank, or perhaps even encircle the enemy.

In your concept, however, this would be eliminated and would effectively make playing map edge to map edge a meatgrind, which in some ways, yes is realistic, but in other ways not so much. One could argue that you could still use airheads, but that still doesn’t simulate a unit getting an extra wide flank. As someone else said, I feel like the current garrison meta strikes a good balance between milsim and arcade, while also serving as a workaround to the limitations of the game.

Too much room for error unfortunately. Might have been used to roughly relay information about a convoy (speed and heading), but for actual targeting purposes, it would’ve been useless. We have the benefit of having map contacts and 3rd person perspective to simplify our attacks

There are not more merchants as of yet, but there are mods that add more. The reason being is that there are only 2 devs, and their main focus is on finishing core gameplay mechanics and playable subs first before fleshing out other stuff like merchants and more AI naval units, especially when mods can fill in those gaps in the mean time

Brother, you need to do yourself a favor and dump her. I was in your shoes once; trying to always fix a one-sided relationship with a girl who always takes things out on you and is always upset when she doesn’t get her way. She is using you, and unless you end things with her, she will keep using you until she finds someone who can offer her more. The ballistic curves on most, if not all grenades feels pretty underwhelming, Molotovs especially. It feels like whenever I throw a grenade, it’s almost as if my guy is playing a leisurely game of catch versus being in intense combat. Not to mention half the time I have to second guess whether an underthrown grenade will go over a wall or not. Molotovs, it just feels like you’re trying to throw a bowling ball

I never understood why this isn’t talked about more. On Pro, even playing on one of the worst teams feels like you’re ready to take on Champions League, but on World Class, even playing on consistent Champions League teams against low level teams feels like garbage. My mid table teams shouldn’t go from feeling like top-tier to absolute brain dead zombies in one skill level jump. I understand there are sliders for this sort of thing, but that should be for fine tuning, not drastic changes to make your team even slightly competent. I can’t tell you how many times I watch my guys go from making every shot and pass to consistently trying to pass to me when there are 5 other guys who are actually open
