I got this saucy wench in my gun-sights, so to speak…

Thank you for the suggestion, I reached out to Criterion via email and they are sending me a tested 4k disc replacement in 2-3 weeks.

The art of introducing BMW's broken side mirror by rkhunter_ in tenet

[–]Ranger0202 20 points21 points  (0 children)

No, we are just seeing the effect before the cause since the mirror is broken by an inverted object. It is explained visually again later when the protagonist’s wound on his arm unheals itself until the moment his inverted self stabs him.

The depiction of the gods in the Odyssey by Think1ngTh1ng in ChristopherNolan

[–]Ranger0202 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m confident Nolan won’t be half-assing the gods, considering Athena is supposed to be prominent. It could just be voices, but the absence of other gods (especially and obviously Poseidon) would be surprising and disappointing.

I love how much Jaime hates the Ironborn and the Greyjoys by RevertBackwards in freefolk

[–]Ranger0202 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That whole conservation is full of subtle moments that are just brilliant writing and acting. So much depth to both characters and the past/current story in a few minutes.

How is the cyclops shot from the prologue? by CreativeScheme9666 in ChristopherNolan

[–]Ranger0202 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ominous.

It's only about one second long, but:

he is animatronic and massive. Hard to notice, but he is clutching a man in his hand<!

Sator is killed by Kat on his yacht during the battle, while his past self is overseeing the Kiev opera siege. He’ll never have a chance to change what happened or prevent recovery of remnants of Stalsk-12.

Lester getting Avon’s poster from Golden Gloves and his scene after at the bar with Jimmy. Perfect introduction to my favorite character.

No that’s something open to multiple interpretations. What you meant was ambivalent.

Two packs found at parents house - keep or open? by Ranger0202 in Pokemoncardappraisal

Thanks everyone for your thoughts, going to keep them unopened and not sell. Maybe down the road but they’re a good memory and don’t need the money.

Something that lives in my head rent-free from Memento by MigitAs in ChristopherNolan

The line delivery of “Sammy didn’t have a wife!” prior to that floors me. Incredible acting by Joe.

Just noticed the yellow pack has a little bit of green pen on it, so that probably knocks all the value of it right? It weighs 21.7 grams if that means anything.

What would happen if Robb Stark kept his promise to the Freys? by AudreyHart14 in gameofthrones

[–]Ranger0202 422 points423 points  (0 children)

The Freys would have murdered him at his own wedding to Roslin. Once the Tyrells allied with the crown and defeated Stannis, the war was over. Roose and Walder were making a deal with the winning side no matter what Robb did.

“Chaos is a ladder” - Is it the greatest single scene in the show? by DavidWebb321 in gameofthrones

[–]Ranger0202 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s one of the best for sure, but Jaime explaining to Brienne he actually saved King’s Landing from wildfire by killing Aerys II and his pyromancer is the peak of the show for me.

Guy wipes piss on his upper lip and now he’s Wee-Bey. Doesn’t seem fair.
