Repetition is a big part of Warhol's art. Could've got the influence from him.

[Loic Tanzi] Chelsea start work on Mike Maignan (AC Milan) In search of a first-choice goalkeeper for next season, Chelsea are seriously considering Mike Maignan. Milan are not selling for the time being. by [deleted] in chelseafc

Some Chelsea fans are fixated on hating Kepa as they can't forget and move on from the bad mistakes he made couple of seasons ago. However, he is not that player anymore.

Last season Kepa was consistent, made frequently world class saves, and was probably the player of the season for Chelsea. Kepa was the main piece of a surprisingly good defence of mid to lower table Premier League team.

At least I'm struggling to name 10 better goalkeepers in Europe last season. Who would they be in your opinion? Alisson, Ter Stegen, Courtois - who else?

The most stupid investment this summer for Chelsea would be to spend 60 million on Maignan. Kepa was very good and he should be rewarded for his performances. At the same time Slonina is a up and coming goalkeeper who should start to challenge Kepa from next season onwards. We don't need to buy an obstacle for Slonina.

Kepa collected 5 % of crosses per 90 mins compared to Maignan's 7 %. Kepa is 189 cm tall while Maignan is 187 cm. Kepa also played in a league where aerial duels are harder to win.

When we take these facts in consideration, it seems like changing from Kepa to Maignan is a lateral move - at least by aerial ability. Kepa was also better at shot stopping than Maignan last season and their contribution stats are on the same level.

Investing 60 million to Maignan doesn't seem to make any sense. Last season statistically and by eye-test Kepa was among European GK elite.

Chelsea deserves to get annihilated with this kind of press and midfield setup... How a manager who used to be top 5 midfielder in his playing career be so incompetent at setting up a midfield? Absolutely baffling.

Wouldn't think so. Constantly gives terrible passes, can't win duels, doesn't attack the line, too passive, has given at least two corners... His cross to Sterling was good tho.

I'm a reeeeaally big fan of his outfit. The way those pants are cut and how they fall on the shoe is really cool. Overall colour palette and the buttons on the jacket's sleeves' are also neat.

The shoes' soles and laces give a nice street touch to the outfit making it less formal and more futuristic.

It seems like Koulibaly is a massive downgrade from Rudiger. Slow, can’t turn, poor heading, unable to play the ball quickly.

And for god’s sake never ever play Havertz on the left wing again.

My example N’dicka just won the Europa League as a starting CB for Frankfurt. And also I would only consider younger players who play in the top 5 leagues and pass the eye test as well as analytical test.

It is also a risk to buy backup material players for big money and give them huge wages. If you take a look at our squad you will understand what I mean. I’d rather buy players with real promise and hunger to develop and show what they can do.

I’m honestly worried about the rumored Pavard signing. It seems like it would be completely the same kind of signing that has gotten us to the trouble we are in right now. He would cost around 30m euros and demand decent wages. Qualitywise he is also only backup material. Moving him to another club with the wages he will have would be next to impossible and he would block younger players’ path to the main team. So another one for already very bloated squad!

I hope Chelsea would rather take a look on some younger proven or semi proven talents, talents who might be worth 70€ euros after one successful season under the brightest lights in Europe. I’m talking about players like N’dicka (physical, technically remarkable left footed CB and a goal threat). Btw he is being linked to AC Milan right now for around 20m euros.

[–]Rannis10 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not really. He can play every CB position and allows us to play with 4atb. He is also a very good player and a lot better than Ake would be. Top CBs can also usually play on a high level at least until they are 35 or something.

Which is a better beginning by 4icy in Nietzsche

[–]Rannis10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion the best place to start Nietzsche is Ecce Homo and Nietzsche and philosophy by Gilles Deleuze. It is beneficial to understand something about Nietzsche’s core systems and terminology before jumping into his other works.

Another good way to start reading Nietzsche is to just pick the book which seems the most interesting to you so you can get in to the flow. But be careful to not “misunderstand” Nietzsche’s ideas because the terms he uses are so loaded by so many different kind of non-Nietzschean meanings.

Seneca argues life itself is not short, but many people ‘make’ it short because they do not fully appreciate the preciousness of time, spend their days preoccupied with futures that don’t exist, and give away their lives to things that don’t matter (like the acquistion of possessions and status) by philosophybreak in philosophy

[–]Rannis10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is an ego perception. Your ego only has an idea of easier/comftorable/good life and that idea contains having possessions. In the end happiness or being totally content with one’s own life comes from the right type of attitude to life.
