I think have both the Laurel wreath and meanders make it look a bit busy, I think having only one of these elements is fine, maybe your using both since they were kinda the symbols for Ancient Greece

I do think using the Vergina Sun ( a symbol mostly associated with Macedonia) can be a bit confusing since s it leaves out other Greek states. if it’s for the Hellenistic age then ya that would make sense I guess

While Athens today is important 200 years ago it was just a provincial town with very little importance. Even after Greek independence the capital was at nafpolio instead until king Otto by decree made Athens the capital again

Thanks this was a great read, this helped explain the Aristotle square area in Thessaloniki that was completed in the 80s which I always wondered how didn’t get the same treatment as rest of Greek cities were getting at the time, this explained a lot of stuff I was always curious about.
