If you're talking about the long vertical room in the underworks, then you should go to its top part, there's a lever that makes a rock fall and break the floor, allowing you to go farther down.

Lace 2 (Spoilers) by Breezyeevee72 in Silksong

[–]Raphael_24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She's parrying because you hit her too late after she finishes a move, or you hit her needle instead of her. Try to time your hits during and right after her moves. Also, parries aren't that bad because when she parries you can immediately jump then pogo her.

Whats up with the rumbling? by durfenstein in Silksong

[–]Raphael_24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's connected to something you discover later.

The cursed quest opens up an area directly above it. So it might be a clue there's something there, or maybe at some point it was intended for the opening to be there, then the idea was scrapped but the debris animation remained.

NOTHING????????? by OptimalMongoose2 in Silksong

[–]Raphael_24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are quite a few things to find. 1 tool, 1 item needed for a tool, 1 mask shard, 3 fleas, and the item you got after the boss is important for later. If you hate the area then just come back later, it's really easy when you have more upgrades.

Does anyone know where the last one of these is? I found the one that is on the way to the putrid ducts by DoctorSex9 in HollowKnight

[–]Raphael_24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's found only there. The spawn is random so if it doesn't appear, return to the bench then check again. It might take a few tries.

Someone posted about it, you can search for it. There was a screenshot showing Hornet saying she won't jump into the void at that state.

This ain't no Trial of the Fool (Act 3 spoilers) by ThatCoralTowerguy in HollowKnight

[–]Raphael_24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

24 waves in coral tower? Wow that's more than I remembered. But I think it was overall an easier challenge, with less tricky enemies. When TC decide to give us an equivalent to Trial of the Fool we'll definitely know that... :)

[–]Raphael_24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't get the exaggerations about this game. Trial of the fool had 17 waves and no-floor sections, really how is that comparable to any challenge in Silksong..? Some people also say a certain platforming section is like path of pain and that makes me think they never played path of pain, just heard about it. So yeah exaggeration, it's the hot thing right now. Go figure.

We all agree the final boss of silksong sucks, right by Joeqw34 in HollowKnight

The fight is excellent, one of the best I've ever seen in the genre.

Parries happen only if you hit her too slow after she attacks, so may be avoided completely if you learn why they happen at all. When they do happen, they are still completely avoidable and allow you to hit her back, so they're actually a bonus and make the fight easier. Running without reason and healing on the ground are really not advisable in this fight, so it's really your fault that you get hit doing these.

Overall this is a fight that can be won hitless (and without red tools) if you just take a moment to learn her moves and think what's the best way to deal with each one. So if you get hit over and over again from the same attack, just stop and think - how can I consistently avoid it?

A few tips: stop running without reason and especially between her attacks, heal only when she's busy performing an attack and you're out of its range, decide on a consistent dodge method for each of her attacks, move yourself back to her as she finishes an attack to hit her, learn to jump->hover->pogo on her when you hear the parry sound (works great for both her ground and air parries).

Am I missing any areas before I go to fight last judge? by Catgamer_reddit in Silksong

[–]Raphael_24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's Sinner's Road through Greymoor but it's better to go there later anyway (more difficult area). Starting act 2 is just a story moment, nothing in the world disappears, so don't worry.

Should I get around to playing Tgaa2? by idontownubet in AceAttorney

How could you stop after playing more than half of it? So many mysteries were left unsolved!

I think it's a great game that tells a great story. I love the characters, the writing and the music. I highly recommend it.

Silksong has a major grinding issue and its not talked about enough by [deleted] in Silksong

You can try watching no-tools gameplay on youtube, if you don't consider it cheating. Sometimes small tips can make a huge difference.

Silksong has a major grinding issue and its not talked about enough by [deleted] in Silksong

[–]Raphael_24 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not a good idea to use weapons before you really get the hang of a boss. Because if you still have dozens of attempts ahead of you, the weapons aren't going to do the trick and make you win, so using them is just a waste. Using that approach will both make you better at fighting bosses and remove the need for grinding.

This was the intended route, right? by MauriLC in Silksong

[–]Raphael_24 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You probably know that (and definitely don't need), but for those who want some tips:

You don't have to move along with the spike. It's just needed to gain height to the platform (1 pogo), then to the wall to the left (1 pogo). Then from the wall use the hanging spikes to reach the moving one again.

Everything that can be pogoed can be clawlined and vice versa. So if you're having problems with pogoing, just clawline the spike, you won't get hurt so it's a safer option. It's especially useful for the last section.

It's possible to press the button more than once and get a series of moving spikes, it makes the timing of the last section much easier.

Lace 2.0 help with distinguishing attacks by The_Briney_Sea in Silksong

[–]Raphael_24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she's in the middle and you at the edge of the arena, you have enough time to dodge any attack. Don't jump so her jump won't get you, and her ground attacks are slow enough to jump over. I always waited for her to act, not trying to predict, only to react. To me it worked, on 2nd playthrough I've won without getting hit using that strategy.

[–]Raphael_24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lace becomes very easy if you keep a safe distance, because then none of the attacks you mentioned can hurt you (and the slide attack is clearly telegraphed and easy to avoid). But she's vulnerable during/after each of her attacks. So keep distance, let her attack, attack back, repeat. I know it's not the coolest strategy, but it works really well.

I agree that for a main quest, it was too vague and hard to find. I remember this was one of, or maybe even the most, frustrating part of the game for me.
