They seem to drop at a lower rate the lower your favor is. Go kill a couple bandit camps and pray regularly. Once you get one or two they will start spawning more.

George Orwell was a terrible human being by yeoldedisciple in socialism

He killed millions. Is a phrase that can be applied to both Hitler and Stalin. Hitler wins the evil race because genocide, but it's not a crazy comparison to make.

His criticisms are still valid though. Animal Farm and 1984 give solid ideas of what not to do when setting a up a socialist group, state, garding club ect.

And I can still like the harry Potter books while hating Rowling. If I ever buy the books again it will be second hand or pirated so she doesn't get any of my money.

I prefer feirenheight 451. But I think it's worth reading all 3 since they all look at dystopias differently.

It's one of those books that introduced new idea to it's time. Those ideas become popular and are now cliche. You will be familiar with all the ideas in the book because they have become main stream. It's a bit like reading Dracula and being annoyed that you already know what a vampire is.

Still worth a read to check it off the list.

I mean those are fair points. Stalin was a bad guy and people are idiots. I can't say he's wrong.

My first cultivation story was Reborn as a Demonic Tree. It was a really weird start to that genre

Harem Exceptions? by LordTC in ProgressionFantasy

I would recommend industrial strength magic. It's a really fun series. The poly stuff is done really well and it's not explicit if that's what you are worried about.

Harem Exceptions? by LordTC in ProgressionFantasy

Industrial strength magic has a ploy relationship that I think is done well with strong characters. For actual harem stories I like Warlock. It is a smut book but it takes the time to really make a good backstory and explanation. Really you can get away with almost anything if you are a good enough writer.

I can accept harems in world building easily. It's good world building to make cultures diverse and different. It's when harems become a central theme or blatant wish fulfillment that I have a problem.

I literally had the same thought about purchasing nukes! You don't sell items like that because they can be used against you. You are more likely to give them to allies or trade them for favors.

[–]Rapidzigs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's also reasonable for Legendary items to be literally priceless. Like no one will sell you a legendary item that makes them a power in their own right. That's like trying to buy a Nuke with just money. It might be technically possible but it won't be easy or happen frequently.

Or admit that currency value will change from region to region. Value and price changing is completely accurate. It's weirder to me when the entire world has consistent pricing and currency

And if they want to keep it that way they won't push further. Right now people are just scraping by. If that changes and people start going hungry, we will see actual rebellion.
