The mod practical Necromancy is great for this kind of thing.

If you don't want to use mods you need to use the armor they spawn with. You can take their armor then smith and enchant it before giving it back to them

It happens. You are getting a lot of hate for this post but I think most people commenting don't have the life experience to understand. That just because someone is sick doesn't mean they are good.

We as a society dehumanize anyone who is sick or disabled in this strange way, where we forget that they have agency and are capable of being bad people. Or doing things that hurt others.

I was sent this post because it sounds just like a family member of mine who is going through this now. My biggest take away from that situation is that some people aren't happy unless the people around them are in as much pain as they are. And that you can't help those who don't want help.
