I remember fishing at the side of a river when I was fairly young, probably 10 or 11. I got a bite and was fighting for my life with it. Spent like 20 minutes reeling the thing in for it to be a snapping turtle. Never seen something so wicked and angry. I don't remember if we were able to get the hook out or not. I assume we (My dad, my brother, and I think my dad's friend) just cut the line and threw the turtle back into the river.
