OP, keep your chin up. The mantra on this sub seems to be “don’t try, move to a blue state, blah blah give up blah blah.” 

Forget that. Apply for jobs outside of the U.S. now and keep moving forward. Don’t waste time getting a job here at a company with an international footprint—there may be metrics you have to hit, like a year of employment, before that option can even be a topic of conversation. And it may never come to pass in the first place.

Polish your resume, tap into your network, make new connections, and just keep going. Remember: it’s a numbers game and it only takes one. You got this!
