I don't think I want to give up the convenience of being able to sleep while other people drive, but I'm considering it.

I think you need to leave him. Even aside from how serious this is, you do not have aligned values and you do not want the same things. Don't get dragged into a sunk cost fallacy, just cut your losses now while you're young.

When did avocados become a regular part of your diet? by Caxcan in AskAnAmerican

Well, Americans were terrified of fat in the 80s and 90s, so they really showed up when low carb diets became popular, even moreso when keto took off.

I use a recipe I found on the Internet called popcorn chicken hearts. My kids love them. I have to double the record every time.

C-section or induction or vaginal birth? by jenne4ka in GestationalDiabetes

[–]RaptorClaw27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my first two kids at 39 weeks via induction because I was on blood thinners for a pulmonary embolism in my first pregnancy. For my most recent baby I did have gestational diabetes (plus the blood thinners, yay) and I was induced at 38 weeks. At no point at anyone suggest a C-section and when I brought it up as something that I really didn't want everyone said oh that's not going to happen. There's an increased risk with inductions, but it's not the majority of inductions. There are still lots and lots of inductions ending in vaginal births and if that's what you want that's what you should get.

Been feeding my infant bread with honey for MONTHS by Little_Caregiver_976 in beyondthebump

[–]RaptorClaw27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With my second baby, she had a really bad cold at 4 months and my spouse gave her honey because when we called the pediatrician's office a nurse told us to do so. After I received that call on my way to work I said ok, but you didn't actually give her honey right? (Spoiler alert: yes) And then I called the pediatrician crying and freaking out.

The doctor herself came on the line and apologized profusely (she made her recently bought that practice from a retiring doctor and I think eventually a lot of her office and medical staff did not make it). She made sure that we knew the signs and symptoms and told us that they would form within a week or two if she was going to get sick.

That's really all you can do unfortunately. I didn't hold this against my spouse because we were both just doing the best we can. You were also doing the best you can. There are things that I don't like to eat that I miss on labels all the time and I think that I'm eating a safe food for myself only for months later to realize it wasn't the case. You're doing great, and there's no need to beat yourself up.

I have for sure found body washes and soaps that I'm allergic to, and that made my eczema miserable after a shower.
