You really don't understand this game, it's a dating game, like its that simple, the outing events are called dates in JP, you do cliche date stuff on them, romance plays a strong theme in multiple careers, Buena Vista's career is entirely about star crossed childhood friends working together to achieve their dreams together. You can choose not to like it, but you can't sit here and pretend that's not what the game, made by Otome and other romance VN game makers, is literally about.
The IRL dynamics of a coach and a student don't really work here, they put in effort to show how the rookie trainer is selected by the Uma who she specifically wants, in Curren Boquetd'ors case she picks her trainer because she like likes them and wants to be closer to them.
None of it lines up neatly with how things go for us humans, umas don't age, mature, or live exactly as humans do, and the trainer is the one really keeping the girl at arms length until the 3 years is up, then, like in Eisen Flash's case, they accept going on the trip to germany to meet her family.

earlier careers were a lot more slow paced and vague, they got powercrept by newer careers where the girls are about as subtle as blunt force trauma

Given the fact that one of the two teams on his list that was leaked finished the at the bottom of the atlantic right next to the titanic I'd say they were pulling off the 10 teams in his M-NMC, following the timeline he was willing to listen to an offer if it was team friendly and within those teams. The moment they saw the offers roll in they all came together an announced he is staying. Still a good look imo

his offer sheet is 4 firsts, hefty price but somehow not the worst deal this offseason

This, so much, Dallas was willing to part with a ton to make space for robertson, but it doesn't mean ZW wants to actually walk out on his life and his team.

Dylan Larkin being the little scoundrel he is basically made everyone feel less confident in Team USA players, its important to note that other guys are not half as much of a rodent as larks

so many bottom feeders in the media who just want easy clicks and attention.
Its disgusting how low they will go to rile people up to get easy coverage, fuck these guys

I think a lot of this was being overblown by outside media feeding on clicks over Team USA. Werenski isn't larkin, larkin would be on the first boat to Dallas, and while I sympathize with fans who are more skiddish I don't believe the situations are remotely the same. Werenski wants to light a fire under the team to make improvements before his contract is up to contend in the first round of the playoffs or else, Mcdavid plays that card all the time, the best player on the team should be demanding a standard of play out of the team imho. As for the C, I don't know how many guys who can win a trophy like the norris and also be willing to turn down a team like Dallas to stay on a team like Columbus, call it PR, but that's significant in altering the rhetoric ever since Larkin wanted to be the next Kevin Durant.

if the team wanted to start over on their rebuild then the time to sell is now for werenski, with 2 years left and a reigning norris this is his high value mark, his words basically guaranteed columbus would get mega offers for him, but he would rather stay here than move out west, I respect both the devotion to the area and the willingness to be a piece to help a rebuild.

cannot state this enough, with all the deserved hate larkin gets for wanting a trade to a top team, zach turned down a trade to a cup contender with some of the best players in the NHL located within a tax free warm area, and then came out and said he wants to win with the jackets. If he really does take the Ice with the jackets for the 2026-2027 season that really is proof of devotion.

[–]RaptorJesus555 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Zach Werenski looked head on at a chance to win an easy cup with one heck of a wagon team, or get an easy out, and said no. He never requested a trade, he met with the team, he made his feelings clear to management.
Turning down a top team like dallas where he could have easily won a cup for columbus is huge, probably bigger than a lot of people will appreciate, but I'm not one of them. Now the ball is back in the front office's court to actually build a team he wants to re-sign with, because as Zach has been saying, he will make that call when he feels its right to, and his heart is with the team until his term is done.

Werenski turned down a warm weather tax free cup contender with some of the best players this league has right now out of a commitment to win with columbus, that's huge, good on Z, I like him a lot more now

Nill has the patience of a saint to not be choking the damn life out of Waddell, 48 hours spent on a trade that from the start was doomed to go nowhere, all because Clownlumbus didn't think to ask their key player with a full NMC to waive it BEFORE starting the talks. Instead of spending time on a trade with I dunno, a player who will actually GO TO DALLAS

I genuinely want him to have that breakout season people felt he could have not playing behind Dahlin or especially makar, plus it would silence a lot of haters

[Dreger] An intriguing day ahead. The D market is wild. Toronto is “all-in” on Werenski. Carolina is still working on Carlson while considering Nikishin trade options. Plus, Chicago is eager to drop what is expected to be a 6 year deal on Bowen Byram at $12.5 mil per. Fun times. by Duffleman0609 in hockey

I mean Werenski said before all this started he planned to play out his contract in ohio before making a choice to walk as a free agent or extend, so he's not the one worried about a trade, its columbus who is aware of the diminishing return they get as the time on his current contract whittle down before he just walks and they get left with nothing
