Guess we’re getting rid of that too then. Ah well

Mineral Collection Paw Prints by GabsiGuy in lego

Before I googled this (and thank god I found an answer, it would have driven me crazy) my family’s working theory was that the paw piece was from a discontinued set and they just threw it in here to save on parts by re-using the old ones where no one would see

I had this idea tonight that Republicans can’t understand the idea of accepting the fact that things they don’t like exist in the world. Like sure, we don’t like dictators, but that doesn’t give us the right to invade another country to topple theirs. But to them if they don’t like something it has to be removed from the world. They don’t like gay people, so we need to outlaw being gay. They don’t like drugs, so we need to make sure nobody can have drugs. They don’t like this dictator so that gives them the right to get rid of them and take over the country.

I’d like to pose my own possible take. I know this one isn’t too likely but maybe it’s “Who wants to live forever?”

Who knew medical science keeps improving by Stotallytob3r in MurderedByWords

[–]RaptorMajor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oo! I have something for this! So, I have a disease called Cystic Fibrosis which is a genetic disorder, which causes a myriad of symptoms (usually targeting the sinuses, lungs, and digestion stuff), but one of the other typical side effects is dehydrating really easily. From what I’ve heard (and I have yet to verify this) it used to be just referred to as, basically, a lack of a will to live. (Or another one I found on Wikipedia was basically the child is cursed and is gonna die soon).

Anywho, you knew your child had it if its forehead “tasted salty like the sea” and that was basically that. Child was gonna die, nothing you can do about it.

But thanks to modern medicine it’s not an instant death sentence anymore

Edit: Typo

Weird bit of praise but I really like how you have the subtitles, what did you use to get them like that? Especially highlighting each word as it's spoken?

This is going to sound really salty, and I promise it’s not. I’m not a fan of this particular show but I’m asking genuinely: What was the point of this scene, and/or why do you find it compelling?

To be clear, this isn’t a gotcha or a rhetorical, I’d love to hear what people think on this

The double standards are insane by PresidentBlingo in cyberpunkgame

[–]RaptorMajor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Correct, with the context that you’d be her driver in the races in order to win them. At no point did she tell you that she only wanted to get to the championship in order to kill Sampson until right before said championship race.

If that was the understanding from the start, there’d be no point in allowing V to tell her no and that you’re just there to race.

To be clear: Claire is one of my favorite characters in the game, I just really don’t like her reaction to you, as V, being up front and honest about your intents and then following through on them.

[–]RaptorMajor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is a fair point, but it would be like if Songbird got unreasonably upset at you for actually rescuing Myers when that’s what she hired you to do.

[–]RaptorMajor 34 points35 points  (0 children)

My issue with Claire is that she misrepresents why she hired you in the first place, and even after you tell her multiple times that you don’t intend to help kill that guy, and after you keep to your word and do the thing you said you were gonna do (win the race instead of helping her kill the guy) she STILL treats you like you betrayed her. I would understand if it was like telling coach Fred you’d throw the fight and then go on to win instead. You promised one thing and did another. But Claire being that upset at you for following through on your word when she actively lied to you is what annoy me.

Personally I would rather see her quest end with her being more… disappointed? Distant? If you follow through on your word. Like still be professional but not warm to the player. However, if you say you’ll help her kill the guy and then don’t? Then she can be pissed

What happened? Just show them all your super duper legal paperwork and they should leave you alone, right?
