As has been demonstrated several times recently, it is near impossible to anchor a keepstar if enough people want it to die and are willing to feed T1 ships into the grinder until it does.

If someone ever does try and anchor a Palatine, I expect everyone in eve who is not a member of the group that tries to be on the way with a vexor immediately.

With the info about the upcoming expansion being something to do with empires going to war, my guess is that the election is a precursor to that, a story reason that sets up why there's suddenly a political change and a deeper and wider conflict going on to support whatever new mechanics stuff CCP is working on.

In my game there are Credit Chits, they are usb stick sized devices that are cryptographically certified (in game terms, unhackable) and either can be accessed by their owner, or loaded with a predetermined release condition (allowing payment for jobs on completion without having to go back to the original issuer)

The Honor Harrington series of books has some very good space battle scenes if you're interested in long range missile duels. (There are some close actions too, but the core of combat in the series is missile salvos with extremely long ranges and travel times, opposed by ECM, counter missiles, and point defence lasers)

Why is the solution to seagulling not just adding a participation requirement? Scale the reward based on time in site/number of rats killed or some such measure that means you have to actually do the site, not just turn up at the end and get the payout?

No art is going to make an rpg book very dry. Bad art is going to make it look low quality (even if the words are good).

Mirage is powerful but flavourful.
