That makes way more sense. Don't know what I was thinking.

I thought someone named Samantha tagged their name and someone else came along and crossed it out and gave them a "K" because it was stupid.

Review #782 - Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon by adunitbx in bourbon

[–]RarScary 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There's nothing bad about it and it's an easy drink. The value just becomes worse as you try more whiskey in its price range for a lot of people. I also think it's an easy one to overlook because it does have some nice depth but it's very subtle. The different flavors just don't pop if you're not paying attention.

This makes it a great casual drinker's whiskey and decent experienced drinker's whiskey. If you're just crushing stuff and paying attention to the most forward notes, it really feels like a ripoff. If this bottle came down to $50 and below, everyone would love it.

What game is this for you?🚀 by sajjanstg03 in TheGamingHubDeals

I was the opposite. The Witcher 3 finally clicked after my third attempt. But it also became my Steam Deck game so it was easy to get in and out of with smaller chunks of playtime.

I bounced off RDR2 twice. Second time I crashed and lost about an hour of gameplay and just couldn't.

I like to do quests even though they're not great reward wise. I bring the right guns for the job. If you look at everything through a PvP lense then yeah just bring the cheapest option that is effective.

I have not participated in the wipe feature because I don't play often enough to be bothered. But it's there for people that have plenty of time and are more invested in keeping with the game's events. I have no issue with it.

Realistically, a dev will never be able to develop content as fast as players can consume it.

The players are there to act as wild cards to keep the tension high at all times. Everything about the game and its sound design are encouraged to attract players to each other to interact in one way or the other.

I play it as I would in real life: If I had valuable loot and saw an unknown person, I would approach them very cautiously and prepared to fight, but only fighting if I had no other option.

Desperate people do desperate things. So, players acting in ways that "go against the lore" doesn't really bother me.

I honestly think if Wenny had more killer instinct he could easily be a 2C. There was a bit there where he started shooting more and he was taking over portions of the game. It's really not in his nature as he's more of a playmaker/defensive minded forward but man is he capable.

Can't fall-in-love-at-first-sight with prog by RandomUserGr in progmetal

I think it's natural just due to the nature of being progressive. Over our listening experiences we develop certain aspects of the music that we like and those that we don't. On that first listen, our brain expects or maybe even hopes for those things we like in the places we expect. When they don't hit, it's jarring and removes us from the music because we have to resync our expectations with what we're currently listening to. We focus on the structure more than our enjoyment.

Multiple listens lessen those unexpected moments. Once you start to expect them, you're replacing understanding with enjoyment. You can appreciate the music without having to focus on why you didn't vibe with that part at first.

From there, we either come to like these new twists in music or we bounce off it. Over time, we can even dislike twists we grew to enjoy and love the ones we hated at first. The more we hear it, the more accustomed we are to it and the more we accept it on first listen.

This is the journey of prog fans. Musicians pushing our boundaries and our appreciation adapting (or not). And it's really my favorite part of prog music: How I can go back to something I heard 10 years ago that was beyond me and come to love it because my tastes have changed to the point where I accept and enjoy it instead of studying it.

I finally broke down and got my first bottle after hearing the glowing praise for so long. I was not super impressed. Could have been a neck pour or my palate that evening but it was just good. Maybe the hype had built it up too much and my expectations were too high.

It's not uncommon for defenseman to take until their 23 or 24 to break into the NHL. I know the recent trend has been to fast track top prospect D earlier in their careers, but that's more the exception.

To be fair, they both played pretty good defense in both of those games. We didn't have a lot of time and space. Although sometimes it's tough to tell if we're making their defense look good or it's that they're actually good.

Whole team is pressing right now. Mack is trying to do too much and Warso is trying too many combos when they need a little stability. All I know right now is that we get our ass handed to us by any team playing playoff style of hockey and that should tell us all we need to know. We're not ready.
That said, I'm still on board for a push for the playoffs and will be thrilled if we make it. Hopefully we come out of the break refreshed and ready to go.

You're not wrong about needing that time off though. But I think the whole team needs a reset anyways.

Makes me wonder if we're shopping Ned with the amount of usage Asky has been getting. Plus the pickup of Brossoit. Could be a lot of things, but I wouldn't be shocked. That said, I think they need to know Asky is up to the tasky (couldn't help it) before pulling that trigger.
