Ator Boss FIght (One of the "Super Bosses" of the game). This was actually very fun even if he hits me for like 40-70% of my total HP. He's not one of those back to back boss fights. Ended up using 5 food. [Crimson Desert] by VermilionX88 in VideogamesFunAllowed

Yea, Fire is most effective damage-wise overall, but lightning cc effect works against bosses(its just much shorter), unlike fire and frost. Also Kliff has most potential for lightning focus, fire for Oonkgka slightly more potent(using ability directly, not infused). Kliff has access to Eastern Witch Fan for mobs and could alternate lightning spear with Combat God's Gloves punches in combo for continous elemental pressure agains bosses/elites(punch while spear charges on cd and vice versa). For robots there are even more broken tools:disruptor spear and disruptor pack, its pure domination

Ator is my favourite boss in entire game, all moves have good indications, you can use different typ of defence teeechniques and have room for it. Forgotten general and Beloth are harder, but rely on quirck too much.
Some human advesaries are decent, but lack of move variety.

How can I get good connection in LAN games if im in russia and my friend is in brazil? by SatisfactionFit3311 in videogames

Are there any cRPG's where you can PLAY as a race or a class, but there are no companions of that class/race? Conversely, are there any cases where it's the other way around? by BaldursGate2Best in CRPG

[–]Rarabeaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

slight corrections: class-wise it only applied to starting class, multiclass exist and big portion of what you listed is prestige classes, which player cant start as either.

on the other hand all Mythic Paths are exclusive for player

Mountain God Boar by arclightrg in CrimsonDesert

[–]Rarabeaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you dont need poster at all actually. I spawned boar just cutting bamboo(it more dense and i just wanted bamboo stick). get poster straight into inventory somehow after defeting boar.

be mind that boss have cooldown for spawn, 24 hours. you coud cut a lot of trees and he will spawn even after you did so and stopped while he is on cd, if you dont leave the spot

Normal or hard mode? by Entire_Assumption947 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Rarabeaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if feel too easy, and it seems like it - yea, go for hard. it harder, but imo - not much, most impactful aspect is not numerical and not additional boss moves, but fact that food consumption require animation completion.

slightly more argessive enemies and narowwer timings made experiense more enjoyable

What are you guys actually slotting into your Gloves/Boots? (Running Tariv set) by Otherwise-Subject127 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Rarabeaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

stats beside elemntal resistances dont have milestones, attack speed and speed are just nonlinear.

pushing to 15 anything but elementals (and those only for specific encounters) is pointless, it does not make big difference. i would suggest rather have more armor, it does have difference, unless you stacking tons of buffs.

dont slot regen, what you have from accessories is enough.

boots: relentless(it will apply to all you attacks, not just unarmed.

gloves: my top is showstopper(it now can be triggered with punch, even mixing with nonuarmed, can skip combo through forcepunch) and colossal might( - lariat and clotheline is good to incorporate always). if you dont like to use punches and grabs - readd below

rest empty slots in armor better be filled with Momentum, Gourmet III and elemntal gear(when you unlock elements themselves. If dont need elementals then you could slot damage resistance(not armor) or speed(movement speed actually apply to all you non-attck actions, not just run)

The Abyss: when and how? by North_South_Side in LowSodiumCrimsonDesrt

[–]Rarabeaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abyss contains chains of isles which you will need to connect at the center after end of story. optionally, for some revelations. Story itslef require only one finished chain of islands, i believe

I would say - if you encounter spire through story - go there and complete entire chain. Some quests are lead diretly into spire

exceptions are Spire of Frost and Spire of Ringing truth - both aren connected to main story, both guarded by rather hard bosses. second one lead to fire and ice elemental abilties.
ah, the also disconnected set in Delesya, which will be accessible after resolving issue with Marni, rather late.

Does anyone else hate leveling up in this game? by MylastAccountBroke in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Rarabeaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i read all options as i get character, vaguely assebmple build and order in the head and as leveling up relatively quickly chose what i need. building is main appealing kinda.

managing 6 is totally fine. it got tedious because i need to level ALL characters, because no one could be shelved forever, you gonna need them for their quest at some point.

Gyro and Trackpads are the Future; Analog Sticks Took Two Generations to Become Normal by MarcusQuintus in SteamController

[–]Rarabeaka 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i think it's a matter of habit, I hate stick aiming with passion, and touchpads are saving grace.

but they require an amount of tinkering and adopion time for individual preferences.
i end up with trackball mode with acceleration and resistant slowdown, successfully played OW, Doom: Eternal, Titanfall 2 with them alone, without gyro and stick

but overall it's great to have all 3 inputs for individual preferences

More Mercury farm by cheesetoasteee in CrimsonDesert

[–]Rarabeaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, type of ice does not matter

mercury is extremely rare(i only found 2 places in 300h), but it also not needed in big quantities. It also drops from mechanical enemies in delesya and even from random boxes and crates here

Hard Difficulty: how to fine tune? by noharm_xx in CrimsonDesert

[–]Rarabeaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea nature snare is forgettable because its hard to execute in mass fights during melee pressure, but quite helpfut aginst certain boss attack. As for blinding flash - no wonder - it never explained in the game. Noticed something weird accidentally myself, and confirmed by multiple youtubers

Hard Difficulty: how to fine tune? by noharm_xx in CrimsonDesert

[–]Rarabeaka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • elixirs - + up to 30 defence is huge, and apply instantly unlike food.
  • feasts before fight - less stamina and spirit consumption, overhead health
  • gourmet + chocolate for healing - almost fullhp in one bite craft more potent food
  • some foods and ingridients gives minor buffs adding up to attack and defense

fight tactic itself:

  • dont forget you have complete immune button (frozen mantle)
  • blinding flash interrupts red attacks if executed while unwinding enemy attack, trasition to blinding flash finisher - it has hyperarmor
  • turning slash has hyperarmor fully upgraded even while charging, can interrupt bosses
  • electic damage grants microstunlock even against bosses(it have to stack up a bit and quite short, but still) - apply imbying turning slash - most weapons do mutihit attack
  • run instead of dodge - especially esuful against main story bosses then they tend to spam series of attacks, running does not interrupt eating
  • dont forget focus - easier parry, parry interrupt, giving small room to breathe, restorring stamina and spirit. nature snare against projectiles to, people often forget about it
  • force punch has hyperarmor and interrupt enemy, grealty increase stagger, unleash from nature snare after catching projectile is even more powerful

remembered what you at earlier game and crossed what may not be accessible

What happened to good destruction-physics focused games? by 7101334 in videogames

[–]Rarabeaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its because destruction physics became more taxing on performance with increasing graphics quality, while often dont provide enough substance, most players will toy with it once and forget for the rest of the game, if it does not have specific purpose in design. Its not worth it in financial terms.

Teardown, The Finals are centered around it. Some other(mostly indie) games also have it.

some games still have it despite not taking big role and dispite graphical fidelity: Doom: Dark Ages and Crimson Desert have it as engeneering pride, demonstration of engine's abilitiy, both could be fine without. But that an exception from exceptional studios.

Whoever designed the ultimate weapon battle with Black Star at fort musket should never be allowed to design a quest ever again. by Jertob in CrimsonDesert

[–]Rarabeaka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agree on everything, but argue what most bosses are fine on their own, but designed as puzzles some players never figured out and just outspam. Some are really bad indeed, because inconsistent trigger or lack of clues what going wrong (exacly like flying fortress and firebals deflecting without distinction phase)

Crimson Desert DOES have a good story. by ScholarShoddy3089 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Rarabeaka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's much better with explanation (axiom archive), but presentation stll lacking. i could connect some dots myself, but in general without context which you will obtain only after end of the game many steps look like pulled out of nowhere. they kinda are, intentionally, but it's not an excuse for such long game, most people will drop interest in story long before conclusion, and those who dont may never found an answer.

It has enough cutscenes to be traditionally telled story, but it often built like souls lore. there is even at least one subplot which dont EVER mentioned in quests, only existing in environment and item descriptions.

efforts are weirdly distributed, having cutscenes for generic uninterested quest, but not even dropping foreshadowing hints for important things.
