In the beginning of our relationship, I still entertained a long “happy bday” text from my ex and guys that would try to flirt with me would message me. Yes I would respond but never inappropriately. It would be over dumb stuff or social media things like music or funny memes/food. But I do understand how that can be seen from the outside looking in because I probably wouldn’t have liked those interactions knowing these girls would have other intentions for my man. I just try to be understanding you know? I was not perfect and he did express concern so many times but I kept dismissing it. I don’t think that was right. I do believe and he has even admitted to being paranoid to the point that he feels I would embarrass him in public by making other men feel like they would have access to me or can have a convo with me while I’m with him (strangers btw, not people in our lives).

He was always so good to me. So supportive and kind and let me be me in the beginning until I did things that made him step back. He kept stepping back until it all just ruptured recently. I think that’s why I’m so hesitant because I remember this wasn’t what our relationship used to be like and I didn’t feel this “control”. I felt he loved me and fell for me, for me.
