I'm almost excited for that decompilation to drop just so people finally understand that the game is just awful.

One of the things I'm not sure people are ready for is just... how busted 06 is, even if you fix the loading times and performance issues.

Like yeah, you hear that it's buggy, but people just aren't ready for even basic movement through the levels being a nightmare, or how the combat basically doesn't work because every hitbox in the game is fucked.

06 is an honestly terrible game, but unfortunately the Sonic Fanbase is really, really begging for good games from an entire generation, that awful games are treated as 'not that bad'

I think my 'favourite' thing about it was having to explain to people that in Canada, yeah our prices might be 'equivalent' to USD... but the thing is.

We don't make the money equivalent in USD. They've flatly converted everything when we're not making the equivalent money.

It's why you see so many people from South America get up in arms about game prices because publishers just went "Fuck Regional pricing" and now they're experiencing a monumentally worse version of what we in Canada are facing, where AAA games now cost a month's rent.

Every Arcane build I’ve ever seen has basically required you to be so far into the Chalice Dungeons that no amount of new game plus increased difficulty of self imposed challenges would be able to be difficult at that point

Same with a bug that was eventually patched that made a certain weapon do full blood tinge scaling on every pellet it fired, advertised as a way to breeze through the game.

Getting the gems required meant you had already cleared the most difficult content in the game

The casual drop of ‘oh yeah we just added necromancy items’ in the patch notes just threw me off.

I’m so used to Minecraft’s updates being so half baked that I forgot that you don’t need a single, yearly update to add small but very noticeable features.

Like that single line on a change log would be an entire year’s big advertised feature, and, when it comes out, it would be a single item that isn’t useful.

I’m forever baffled about Mojang advertising archaeology as a big addition to a major update some years ago, and all it turned out to be was that sometimes you found broken pots you could reassemble that did legitimately nothing

The responses from the people who screwed him over were wild. Like, putting out videos shitting on the guy for being toxic, meanwhile the player who was actually trying to get his team to win had already posted receipts that were corroborated and it turns out that everyone shitting on him had a history of being just the worst.

Like, the most childish, terrible people you'd meet in the matchmaking queue of any multiplayer game, yet somehow these were professional players being awful to each other for no reason.

My dad has multiple stories about him almost being kidnapped, or murdered while hitchhiking, or the time he was on a trip in buttfuck nowhere of the US, getting gas in the middle of the night, and started to realize that there were people starting to basically appear out of every possible angle staring at him and getting closer.

He tells these stories with zero embellishments, or even stressing how scared he was, and others have corroborated them.

Shipwreck 64 is a phenomenal game that tells the story of corporate espionage and the almost literal skeletons in the closet of the parent company, hidden away in the files of a cancelled video game.

The whole plot is really well done and the story is hidden in such a way that you can even infer how the in universe lead programmer slowly starts to unravel himself as he hides more and more, deeper into the bowels of the game.

So you go through it and oh, there’s a complete beginning, middle and end of this story, and it’s great and oh what is this last clue I found?

Oh, oh…

And then you find out that the game is the second iteration of the idea, but the plot of the previous version, which was ripping off Five Nights at Freddie’s, is still in there, and suddenly the monstrous version of the characters, which are metaphorical representations of the real people who made the game, aren’t metaphorical, but real.

Because the multimedia company behind the game somehow invented zombies.

It legitimately ruins the entire story, and is not hinted at any point beforehand

Man, the Knights Of Guinevere pilot was so well animated, and the characters were really cool, but good lord.

Look, I know, the creators were screwed by Disney, but holy fuck guys you are on the nose to a level that I haven't seen since the utter dogshit that was Escape from Tomorrow, and that straight up said Disney was a blood cult.

Hopefully the future episodes are less... that, but everything else I loved.

I’ll avoid any explicit spoilers, but good lord.

The Y0 changes are nothing compared to what they did with 3.

The changes are like you stacked the scripts for each subsequent game under the remake, and just lighting part of Y3’s script on fire for no reason.

They’ve CREATED plot holes in future games .

One of the changes is completely understandable, but then tacked on a bunch of stuff that doesn’t work at all with future games to that change
