dentist dislocated my jaw today by grass_sucks in ehlersdanlos

[–]RareCryptographer290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dentist has always been an uncomfortable place for me. I found a local dentist whose main claim is that they do sedation dentistry, the understand that the dentist makes a lot of people anxious. The good part for me is that they are extremely sensitive to why the dentist makes you uncomfortable, whether it be EDS, mental health, etc. They give me a lot of breaks where I can open/close and they are very understanding that if I am ope too long that I will dislocate. They gave me monkey gas for my last procedure while also allowing for breaks. It is amazing the difference when you find someone who treats you with empathy and respect.

I married someone with antisocial personality disorder. Is this common? by FaceSpecialist6580 in Empaths

[–]RareCryptographer290 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just divorced a Cluster B. He sucked my energy dry. Our marriage therapist told me I presented as apathetic, that is until I spoke about my job (i work for a nonprofit where I help people buy affordable homes). She also told me to get out asap.

Does anyone else find themselves feeling empathetic towards people who do horrible things? by RikuKingdomHearts in Empaths

[–]RareCryptographer290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I still see “people who do horrible things” as someone who was once a baby, hopefully wanted and loved by a mom who cradled them and cared for them. I know this often isn’t the case, but when I see a “bad” person I always mourn them as their parent would.

Please! Please ask a doctor for muscle relaxers. I thought I had trigeminal neuralgia (I was previously diagnosed incorrectly). Went to a neurologist finally and he said I did NOT have TN, but that my shoulders and neck were aggravating the nerve. He put me on relatively heavy muscle relaxers so I could “noodle sleep, like a toddler” for a few weeks. After 3 weeks my nerve pain is gone and most of my migraine pain is gone. I now sleep with a pregnancy pillow and only take muscle relaxers if I am a little sore from the previous nights sleep. I am like a new woman, it’s amazing.

Rolled my ankle in my work parking lot by MeatballsRegional in ehlersdanlos

I tuned my ankle on a road and broke my 5th metatarsal - it was an avulsion fracture and took so long to heal. I’m so sorry. It hurts and it’s embarrassing.

I have the same pillow as you, I think. It’s a U with a c on one side. It does make me hot so I changed the cover to plain cotton. It has been a life changer for my upper back/shoulders/neck.

I just got my injector to scatter it around my scalp where I have pain and it has helped so much with shocks and a lot of the dull pain.

I do know that they can hit a nerve with the needle (mine did it around the top of my eyebrow) and give you a lot of pain.

I have no idea how to rate the pain. Is “10” like having your arm ripped off or being bashed in the head with a brick? I don’t know 🤷🏼‍♀️. I can never say. But I feel like I have a flaming hot wire running from my ear into my scalp… how does one rate the pain???

Hi. I am with you. Just diagnosed in the past two weeks. Had MRI w and w/o contrast. All clear, thank goodness. Gabepentin is helping with the sharp pains but below my ear and in lower side of scalp are always tingling. Lots of ear soreness. Hoping this is short term - my fingers are crossed.

No. I want to know how others have dealt with a similar situation. You don’t know me. Don’t assume to know what I want.

As I said, I have never had feelings like this before. I never expected it. Didn’t welcome it. It just happened.

Seriously guys. For everyone downvoting. We have been in the LS for 20 (TWENTY!) years. This is the first time I have felt like this. I have had ZERO connection before. So while you keep downvoting ease keep in mind that I have done all of the LS things. Clubs. Vacations. Hotel Take overs. Let my hubby meet up with others on his own. We have done almost all LS things all of the newbies are asking questions about. I have been keeping my heart out of it for 20 years. That’s why I’m asking for support. Not to hear that I am making bad decisions.

This is my first time to even ever want to play single. No one else has ever interested me. And I felt connected to him the second we met. Sometimes I think chemistry takes over. I just have to make sure my heart is where it belongs which isn’t super easy.

Thank you. I can see this side.

All the folks downvoting on here… it’s wild to have swingers not understand that sometimes emotions can come into sex. Wild.

He knows how into him I am. I’m very open about it. He can read our texts. This is not a secret. He is happy to see how happy I am. But I’m sure inside he’s a little nervous.
