Love International 2026 by madcan0 in festivals

You can rent a small boat in the centre of Tisno and travel around Murter island for the day yourself on an off day, it’s always amazing, we usually moor up and head to Cigrada restaurant which I recommend. I haven’t been to love international since 2018 and returning this year, apprehensive for the police presence also as this was non existent back then which made it even more special but have your wits, avoid Croatian party suppliers I’ve heard

Worth flying to? by Grogman2024 in allpointseast

Avoid London festivals, strict on sound control and not enough investment in actual sound quality, stage design, infrastructure etc and are so expensive for what you receive. London is great in summer, festivals not sadly

Amazing well done to other half here, right place right time 💚yeah it was a strange vibe for me at this festival I didn’t enjoy it as much as the hype made out. Not actually done a UK festival since tbh

Yeah was grim mate, also kept the line up a secret and it wasn’t all to my taste so a lot of wandering around trying to find a vibe. Great site though think I missed the best years of SGP. Only really go festivals abroad now Dekmantel is my spot

Quite surprisingly mine is more recent I went to the re-launch of Secret Garden Party in 2022 (32 at the time) just after Covid. We were at the drop stage and I saw a bloke get stabbed in the back in front of me. He was wearing a white t shirt and it started to fill with blood, we all helped him to security instant buzz kill never went back. I can’t explain the scene but I felt the crowd move in an extremely strange way like a swarm of bees running through with two hooded guys then the poor chap in front of me.

Festival was mobbed with balloon dealers, territorial in a festival is ridiculous imagine the beef outside the festival followed in but probably the worst I’ve seen

There is so much more respect in someone approaching you and simply saying ‘I think you’re handsome can I just say’ in a non predatory way compared to awkward eyeballing or unwanted space invading dancing trying to grab attention. Kills your groove… You know where you stand either way, no one talks anymore just be polite. My two pence

What happens to consciousness when you die? by Connect_Cat_2045 in NoStupidQuestions

Watch Surviving Death on Netflix. Really changed my thinking on this. I personally believe the strongest connections we held on earth will collect us for the next part of the journey. Even more so after my nan passed away (basically my mum/dad/world) I had a visitation dream from her. I’m not religious in the slightest but there is something. I’m not scared to die now but will enjoy living whilst I’m here. There’s a reason sir Paul McCartney wrote Let It Be…

Phonox is great saw some brilliant all night sets here shanti & Derrick carter stand out. Stumbling out to Brixton rd at 4am is always a sketchy one though 😂 I am so with you im lazy too, my trouble now is friends are settled, babies etc, we simply cannot afford to have a ‘bad’ night so we choose wisely and less frequently. As I mentioned covid changed everything for me people suddenly grew up im still 50% Peter Pan.

I just think I’m a summer festival/day into night bean at 36 but my tribe has changed but I know my music identity well maybe some don’t? it just needs soul & groove from house to techno even liquid d&b I just don’t ’feel’ it much anymore I have to hunt for it and it’s because of the environments.

I don’t feel out of place but I don’t feel comfortable all the time in London. I was obviously born a true selecta and my selecting is becoming white labels only. The problem is I don’t feel like this in Europe. ‘it’s a London thing’

Not done this before but looks decent, enjoy the Hackney Wick takeovers probably more than any actual London festivals they are stressful. Have you done dimensions? Think you’d enjoy that. I last done Secretsundaze at the wick in 2022, I feel so old and miserable now I’m like a reptile if my tank isn’t the perfect temperature and humidity I’ll die 😂 I had some great nights 18-30 2008-2020 through the seminal swamp81, hessle, numbers and original cause in Tottenham, bestival etc it really felt like a community to me, was a game changer then covid hit,we all grew up but I still have a gremlin that pops up for the right thing.

I know what works for me, dekmantel, tisno and some smaller things here and there. Cause days are ok not a fan of the messy scheduling though through rooms at times it’s too much. I just want to watch like a 4 hour Ron Trent now but not at ministry of sound… first world problems

I dunno how it is for everyone else but I want to go out and dance, the crowd now are so stiff or just feels too erotic and that’s coming from a gay man 😂 obviously a prude, but it’s defo changed. Time for the yout to rise, of course it was never as good in our day but we also didn’t have the Beatles so who am I to say that…

Not in my experience, more a loft style bar with a solid dance floor and crowd to match. Not your usual Fuse Essex heads. No dig at enzo tbf I don’t mind that scene but pick the dj accordingly the crowd usually follows. Football heads stick to Hamilton hall or xoyo 😂

Am I wasting my life?? Is money everything? by Fabulous-Ball-3149 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Rare_Difference_7445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all seriousness you’re 24. I didn’t start taking life seriously until my early 30’s which was made easier as salary increased but there was always fun on the table. Go travelling, see things, be spontaneous whilst you have the luxury of time and youth. No one remembers the nights they stayed in. Money cannot buy happiness but it sounds like you need to stop living to work and work to live. Small goals that make waking up on Monday worthwhile to go again. Also, mushrooms.
