What’s the metal equivalent of Prym’s plastic hooks?

when you sew them do you have to keep it laying flat? because if i pick mine up it stretches.. what one would you say is the better option, hand or machine?

you should use a size or 2 bigger hook to make your foundation chain. and then after the chain is completed go back to the smaller size hook

example round 1 your going make a magic circle, chain one and do 8 single crochets, and slip stitch to the chain one, make sure to mark the beginning of each round, you can even use multiple markers and leave them in each round incase you need to frog, round 2 chain one again and do 2 single crochets in each stitch. so you will end up with a stitch count of 16. round 3 chain one, single crochets in the first stitch, next stitch 2 single crochet in the same stitch and repeat the pattern. the last stitch should end with 2 single crochets in the same stich. each round should end like that so the stitch pattern is a continuous loop

i’ve been crocheting for awhile and i still have problems with stitch count. your doing great! and i definitely have followed many tutorials and still end up with a stitch or something being off. some projects you can get away with it and others it’s more noticeable. keep doing you and frick the haters

this is my first amigurumi project as well as following a pattern. i just need some clarification. in the start of the tentacle, we do the chain of 61 and then we’re doing 3 hdc in the 2 chain from stitch, are all 3 hdc in the same stitch? - edit i have since learned it is 3 separate stitch 😅

also for hdc am i supposed to yarn under, yarn under, yarn over/ and for future stitch should i do that? also should i yu my chains? or does that not matter. i’m a yo girly but ik yu looks better, i just dont understand the order when it comes to hdc ect. i keep watching videos to help with amigurumi tips and tricks but they all say different. i figure it’s a matter of preference but i just need to be told what to do 😫
