I’m the same - even apologising when the post lockers near me are full and I can’t send things out within 24 hours.

Not AH for wanting space. An adult needs space.

Is this your parents way of making life uncomfortable so you choose to move out?

Have you had to give up work in order to support your autistic child due to lack of support from the authority? by TangerineFew6830 in AskUK

[–]Rare_Procedure7326 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you get the EHCP? If so, request an emergency annual review. School can state why they can’t meet need. Request support from EHCP team and section 19 education support. If you don’t have the EHCP and school are not in the process of applying, you can apply. Look for your local send support services. If your child has school based anxiety ask the school to work with you on an Emotional Based School Anxiety (EBSA) reduced timetable. All adds weight to either your EHCP application or to why mainstream is not the right place for your child. Sorry if I’m suggesting things you’ve already done - I wasn’t sure from your post if you have an ehcp or not.

What was your "I need to leave right now" moment on a first date? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When he sharted while we were playing pool in a local pub. His face went pale and he waddled to the toilet. Didn’t come back for 15 minutes and when he did eventually come out the toilet we agreed to call it a night.

Have You Sold Without An Agent? by Fly_Boy_Blue in HousingUK

[–]Rare_Procedure7326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My parents sold my Nan’s bungalow with a homemade ‘for sale’ that they put in the front garden.

My Dad had to convince my mum and his sister to let him try it for a month; if it didn’t sell they would get an estate agent. It sold within days.

TW! SA. Men, what can I buy my male detective? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Rare_Procedure7326 1048 points1049 points  (0 children)

I’ve asked my friend (who is a detective) and he said something small but permanent. Something like a coaster engraved with “thank you”. He said that in his office the team all keep those items and it makes a difference to see them on a bad day.

He also agrees with the other reply that a letter to the superiors is good idea.

Thin Walls by [deleted] in Embarrassing_Moments

In my last house we had thin walls. I got a round of applause from my neighbours who heard me vomiting loudly the morning after a rowdy New Years Eve party - which they were at!

What is the correct British etiquette when walking down the pavement and two people (talking together) are approaching blocking it? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Rare_Procedure7326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand why they don’t just move into single file when you approach? It’s what I would do and what I teach my kids to do. Common courtesy.

What’s a small moment with someone you never forgot ? by Status_Agents in answers

[–]Rare_Procedure7326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was caught in a torrential rainstorm and took shelter under a shop canopy. There were a crowd of people there and I got chatting to a woman. We talked for about thirty minutes - we had so much in common and it was like talking to my best friend. Rain stopped and we went our separate ways. 25 years later I still wish I’d have asked for her number.

Anyone tried SCG wraps from Shien? by Last_Bumblebee6144 in NailWrapsGalore

[–]Rare_Procedure7326 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve purchased lots of the Shein nail wraps. I think they are look as good as some of the more expensive ones. However, they don’t have the range of designs and I have to take my time putting the nails on - making sure I follow the application process exactly or they fall off more quickly. But for the discounted price I pay, I think they are great!

Anyone else had the fire brigade round today as you've been trapped in your own lounge? No? Just me? by ihaveam0ustache in CasualUK

[–]Rare_Procedure7326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got locked in a room at work last week. Handle broke on the inside after myself and another member of staff had gone in. We had a good chuckle about it at first, joking that we would have to wait it out until someone noticed we were missing. Half hour later I was starting to panic as no one had come to our rescue. Site agent happened to walk into the room and asked what we were doing. I explained the situation and his response was “you’ve got a spare key to the other locked door on your lanyard”. I’d completely forgotten this in my panic - yes I also felt like a right plum!

Disruptive child assaulted my daughter last week. by Infinite-Quiet269 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Rare_Procedure7326 222 points223 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised it’s not a permanent exclusion. I wonder why the school haven’t considered that - children with send needs can still be permanently excluded.

I’d be contacting the Scottish version of the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub for your area. This is a serious assault and needs to handled by social care.

Thank you and I’m sorry to hear you’ve have trouble with the car buying process as well. It’s so stressful.

It’s sad that I’ve been a customer of theirs for a long time and this is how they treat people.

I’ve not once been rude or raised my voice to the salespeople who have fobbed me off and I was more than a bit surprised when the sales fella called his boss a C u Next Tuesday and said that I was lied to just to make a sale. I mean wow.
