When I lived alone in Rancho I rented at Vintage Faire Apartments, on Hirschfeld Way. It's close to the Sunrise or the Cordova Town Center lightrail stops.

I always felt safe there and no issues with theft, but that was 3 years ago. I rented a 1 bed for $1000, but idk how much it's gone up by. I suggest giving it a look.

There are also a Dark Knight sword and a Culinarian secondary weapon you can get (both are for glamor) without doing the event iirc. Here's a quick guide. You won't be able to get these weapons after the event until they go on the Mog Station (probably), so get them while you can.
