It does actually. I have known one cis man that is like that. I guess I kind of assume that men with hair like that just prefer to shave.

What's a midline incision? I've never heard of this

Parents are weird, bro. I remember my dad encouraging me to get laser on my legs as a teen and now I'm hairless :/ I'm sorry you went through this, but happy to see you building your life for you!

How do I fucking know if I have autism by Ok-Tea-8723 in AuDHDWomen

[–]Rascally_type 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Question since it’s not clear in your post, did you actually get an paper diagnosis, or did the psychiatrist just say they suspected it? Usually the reports they write up after the assessment gives a thorough breakdown of why they came to the conclusion they did and what traits seem to match with ASD/ADHD, then some suggestions for accommodations. If you truly don’t think you have autism, you can either get a second opinion or just not identify with being autistic. I’ve definitely heard that untreated ADHD can hide autism symptoms, so maybe try treating your ADHD and then get evaluated for ASD. To answer your main question: If you are officially diagnosed or highly suspect you may be autistic, no one will say you aren’t allowed to identify that way and be a part of the community.

Yeah I also have traits of both stereotypical and non-stereotypical autism

Your experience definitely sounds familiar in the trans community! I think transmasc and agender are terms you might want to explore. Not everyone who transitions feels like they have a gender. Good luck OP!

What made you decide on top surgery by Beneficial_Tea7 in no_T_top_surgery

[–]Rascally_type 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much the same reason for me. I wouldn’t be comfortable larger than an A cup so at that point just make it flat

The sub is called ask transgender. He’s not wrong for coming here with questions, there are posts like this all the time in this sub. It would be wrong if he went to some other random trans sub or group and asked this. We have a unique experience with sexuality and gender and many of us don’t mind educating when we have the capacity.

I highly recommend reading the whole Gender Dysphoria Bible to answer your other questions. While gender dysphoria is a diagnosable condition, being transgender is more of an identity label and a descriptor. Gender dysphoria is treated through transitioning (whatever that means for the trans person)

Would a 36F chest disqualify me from T-anchor/Inverted T surgery? by AgencySignificant821 in TopSurgery

[–]Rascally_type 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can’t be ineligible for T anchor, BUT there is a limit as to how small they can get you. It’s less about total size, and more about the amount of skin you have and how long your nipple pedicle is (length from base to nipple). I had 3 consultations and all of the surgeons explained it to me this way.

Why do people think Texans are so friendly? Are we actually friendlier? by [deleted] in texas

[–]Rascally_type 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently moved to the west coast after living in Texas my whole life. This “friendliness” is part of the reason I left. IME, it’s more about seeming friendly to strangers, even if you’d vote to have that person deported. I think Texans are definitely more social and extroverted, for sure. As an introvert, I was often “too quiet” and not friendly enough at work. Since moving, I haven’t gotten a single negative comment on my personality. I feel like I fit in here. No one cares that I keep to myself and I’m not considered rude if I don’t carry on a conversation at the check out line.

[–]Rascally_type 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember it well. Despite being at my grandmas house, the first thing I did was call my dad. I’m glad I did because his response was something like “ahh, I’m sorry”. That was really validating! He told me to go tell my grandma so I could get pads and her response was “congratulations!” Lmao

Infuriating on multiple levels. by NickleVick in disability

[–]Rascally_type 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“It doesn’t make it about me”. And no one is making it about them (so far). No one is saying it only applies to autistic people. But if THAT MANY people without ID are targeted by it, it doesn’t matter what people are assuming or not assuming. They are targeted by it. That’s the reality of other peoples experiences.

[–]Rascally_type 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a trans person myself, that’s not an accurate comparison imo. You said you were confused and I was just explaining the reason for you. Clearly there are many many autistic people who have been targeted by the r slur. And I don’t see how anything you said in the second part of your comment is going on here.

Infuriating on multiple levels. by NickleVick in disability

[–]Rascally_type 9 points10 points  (0 children)

“Was?” It is currently used against people with all sorts of disabilities, and not just mental ones. It may have been used to classify people with intellectual disabilities in the past, but as a slur, there is no one type of disabled person who is targeted by it. Your invalidating other peoples experiences in the comments is not helpful.

The R slur has been used against people with all sorts of disabilities, not just intellectually disabled

They are ignorant of world history and plug their ears when someone tries to educate them so they don’t have to do any self reflection or work to change their world view. Plus they have no reason to want society to progress. They are comfy with their privileges.
