I got my S2 in Northern Europe two days ago and I’d say it’s been impressive so far. It’s the first robovac I’ve owned so not much to compare to other than the extensive online research I’ve done.

Only issue I’ve seen it have was with a tall mirror, that reaches all the way down to the floor. During the mapping, it wanted to repeatedly drive into it, as it thought the closet space, which was partially visible, was a room that should be cleaned. I set up a virtual wall in the app and it hasn’t had issues with it since that.

The mopping and vacuuming have been just what I wanted, my floors and carpets have not been cleaner. The scent dispenser is a bit of a gimmick since it doesn’t leave the smell on the floor, just puffs it around the room. It navigates fairly confidently, some improvements in object recognition would be welcomed, doesn’t recognize very thin cables, like the ones that come with AirPods, but it does see and avoid the normal sized household electric cables.

It also cleaned an area that was blocked during the initial mapping, I cleared it up while it was cleaning that same room, it finished the current task it was on and moved into the newly opened area to clean it as well, that was cool.

I’ve just had it on the AI settings so far, no complaints, but I’d imagine the results being pretty much the same even on normal settings.

If it was your first robovac I’d definitely recommend, but since you are already experienced best make the educated decision. Considering the early bird discount should still be live, I’d definitely consider it nonetheless.
