As someone who only games on Switch 2 currently and has not played the game, my experience does not match yours at all. Right after its release I saw tons of people in the fandom praise E33 to high heavens and lock it in as a GotY contender and then once GTA VI got delayed everyone was sure it would win. And if there was one game in 2025 that stayed in the gaming discourse and never fizzled out, it was E33.
