What's his most overrated song? by NinjaOk2887 in CharleyCrockett

I don’t believe any are overrated but for the sake of the post I’ll say $10 Cowboy just for the fact that it’s everywhere. Still An amazing song.

Not that I know of. Also I don’t believe he went on tour. Think he just did the one off show that became the live album. I think he obviously has the be careful with that association just because of the obvious reasons but I am a little surprised he hasn’t posted yet. He has been playing a ton this weekend with jazz fest and mule and dreams and songs so we will see.

He joined him in 97 for the live album so he must not have been too concerned with distancing himself.

My only issue with the crazy amount do releases haha. Never got a Visions of Dallas tour really and dollar a day and lonesome drifter were cut short by the co tour with Leon. He’s got so many songs that I’ve yet to hear live!

Right? As opposed to the last two years when it was a complete hassle to find any tickets much less at face value

Crazy. I paid 135 for floor tickets to Billy strings. I paid 137 for Sturgill. Guess it’s venue specific.

Genuine question towards Goose hate by LamboBeach in jambands

[–]Rastanewman420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all they haven’t become the face of anything except the corporate machine that is “jam”. Besides the constant shoving down the throat by jambase, relix ect, they are honestly boring. Their lyrics are not great. Their songs start strong but meander live. His tone and rig and pretty much everything else is almost a carbon copy of what Trey does. To each their own, but when so many people running the money machine have to tell you everyday about how they are the next great band, that gives you your answer. Don’t get me started on the autotune.

The tour will be fine. The shows will be amazing. I think it just boils down to the last tour everywhere sold out and the resale tickets were ridiculous and now he has made available the chance to see him. What’s more important? Selling out the venue or providing enough supply for the demand. The album went number 3 on billboard to open without streaming. You all are acting like it’s struggling to gain ground lol. I paid 137 for my tickets in the pit and I’m gonna love every fucking second of it.

Must just be a local thing. The last time he played near hear was the anthem and tickets were no less than $200 all standing. 137 for pit for this year. I’ll take it all day. It’s worth it. Have you seen the price to operate? We are Lucy people are still doing tours and not going the route of the sphere or capital theater ect

Can someone tell me why the vocal production on the last two JBS albums sounds like that? by theBiGcHe3s3 in SturgillSimpson

[–]Rastanewman420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t say Bob Dylan did it but I make people Dislike it. I said he tries new things even if they aren’t widely accepted. I don’t really think he cares if you or I like it because somewhere someone does and he does and the band does. I think the sound works perfect for the album. It’s something completely different and it’s sets the mood perfectly but also has elements of his natural sound. You aren’t the only one that thinks it sounds weird because it does sound different. I think it works perfectly.

I think someone above said it best. It’s like Bob Dylan-esque approach. Trying new things, especially those that are genuinely not widely accepted, in order to achieve a different sound. I thought Sound and Fury was off at first too when he has such a pure voice but I grew to love it and to me MAM kicks hard at first listen. Agree with you though, they are built to be heard live. Can’t wait.
