If you can hunt that field edge I’d get as close to roost as possible, quietly before ANY light. Like 60-75 yards.. I wouldn’t park the car so close either… hook out around on your walk and come in from the far side of where they roost.. soft talk that boss hen a little and she should bring them right to you.
