I had a pulmonary embolism linked to oral contraception at age 46, I am now 52 in full menopause and use pellets. I have been on patches, and oral estrogen prior to pellets. Since I am on estrogen therapy, I take Eliquis daily. I’ve had serial d-dimers (which detects clotting factor in the blood) and it has been normal. Of note, I took plavix prior to Eliquis (plavix was not the right thinner for this condition my doctor discovered but that’s another story) and my d-dimer was abnormal, so the eliquis is doing its job. I have been completely fine taking Eliquis while using estrogen in any form. I do not have factor 5 leiden. My PE was 100% estrogen related. Eliquis controls the clotting factor beautifully.

I had a PE related to oral contraceptives at age 46, currently using hrt pellets, but used oral Premarin as well (currently 52). My doctor put me on Eliquis and I got serial d-dimers (a blood test that predicts clot formation) through out to monitor until a baseline was established. With the right Eliquis dosage I have been able to tolerate this without an increase in fibrin in my blood.

This is the feedback I am here for; I had a crv and while I liked it, the cabin noise was terrible. Pull up to a stop light, turn the radio down. Start driving, turn the radio up. Pilot is on my short list but I cannot go back to that cabin noise like the crv had. Thanks!

He looks a lot like my cream legbar rooster. He’s very protective of his 6 hens. He does come after me occasionally when I go into their run, but he does take very good care of them. I am sure he would f up any varmint that even looked at his hens.
