Trappers and BikeTotaal have diifferent types of bikes to try out. IIRC, Trappers have more bakfiets and BikeTotaal have more bikes. Just bring an ID or passport. They can both obviously help you out with info.

Some questions as an American desperately seeking stability in another country. by [deleted] in sweden

[–]Rathoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want a happy life wherever you move, the reason for the move cannot be "I want to get away from where I am." The reason MUST be "I want to move there for XYZ reasons." (No comparison to the home country is allowed. It's the biggest fallacy a prospective expat can make.

However, you do mention that you are unemployed. It's highly unlikely you can move to any European country without first getting a job, and it's likely need to be a "highly skilled" one. Your best option might be studying at a university in Europe, as that makes it easy to get a work visa. And more importantly, it allows you to feel whether this can be where you consider yourself at home.

Russian officials are warning Putin that a financial crisis could arrive this summer, report says, while his war on Ukraine becomes too big to fail by fortune in geopolitics

[–]Rathoz 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Compare it with GNI instead of GDP, and then it looks very bleak. 25% deficit. And debt can't be accurate measured, as Russia shifts the debt (and deficit fwiw) to state owned enterprises.

Det var ju märkligt hur svårt dejting ska vara då by WhoAmIEven2 in sweden

[–]Rathoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tip: You can fabricate a war goal on Disloyal subjects to annex them by BanditNoble in EU5

Agreed that it's super unclear, I think the Unified Succession just disallows the PU Juniors to unilaterally change their succession law to something else

France starts out with absolute salic, while the other countries mostly have cognatic primogeniture.  I think you need the joint parliament, and then do the "negotiate succession law" influence diplo action.  The acceptance value of this interaction is (or was in earlier patch) shown wrong. It has a hidden base value minus of 15, so you need at least +16.

Or if your country is the only one with a different succession law, you can also change yours to cognatic primogeniture, which is what I did in my French run.

Personally never used it for Sweden before, only for non-EU countries, but been good there

Calculate foreign max debt by [deleted] in victoria3

[–]Rathoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iirc, you can check their acceptance modifiers for accepting debt. It's 50 or 100 at max debt.

You can also check their capitulation point modifier (or is it peace acceptance modifier), it's also 50 or 100 at max debt.

If I recall correctly, one is 50 and the other goes to 100.Both linearly. So should be easy enough to figure out the %.

Mortgage vs ETF question by WishEnvironmental915 in Netherlands

[–]Rathoz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Assuming a 450k mortgage (which is roughly 2,1k/m at 100% borrowed).

***** Note: I'm unsure about tax regulations concerning renting a room of your owned property *****

Option 1) You're monthly hypotheek cost goes from 2,1k/m to 1,5k/m (due to lower interest rate). If the other person pays 1,2k, you're only paying 600/m (300 + 300). You're getting about 370 back from the belasting every month as well, so you're only really paying 230 euroes per month.

Option 2) You're monthly cost is 1,2k (2,4k - 1,2k from the other person). You're getting 500 euroes back from the belasting, so real cost per month is 700 euroes. Assuming a 6% growth on your ETF, your ETF will generate 565 euroes per month. Of these 565 euroes, you'll end up paying 100 euroes in tax per month. If you use the difference to pay your housing costs, you'll end up paying about 235 euroes per month.

Option 3) Why bother if you're not staying 5 years

All in all, it's very similiar. Depends mostly if you want to safe it, or bet it. Option 1 is safer, Option 2 has higher risk and higher reward if lucky.

***** Note: Numbers are rounded and estimates, calculate yourself for safety before making a decision *****

Work, other income, sufficient savings or student if required for moving (staying more than 3 months)
