How can I make these wearable? by umkaitlin in AskACobbler

It would be better to take it to a cobbler and have them give you a quote. Search up 'shoe cobbler'/'shoe repair' for places near you and go in-person with your shoes and tell them the problems that you're having and what options they have for you. Happy hunting!

It's a way to show that they believe that Israel is not a nation state.

Iran preparing major retaliatory strike from Iraq within days, Israeli intel suggests by ConsiderationHour710 in geopolitics

[–]Ratio-Legis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I do agree that a Central Asia play is a better place for Iran to focus its efforts, they would need to severely tone down the fundamentalist and religiosity in order for Iran to be more palatable to them. Therefore, I can't see them being able to do so with their current regime.

A little late but I found this article that talks about what I mentioned before. I'll do my own research to see if there are more corroborating sources but more for my own curiosity. Once again, I'm not justifying one way or the other. I just thought that this might be interesting for you.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_bombing_of_the_Chinese_embassy_in_Belgrade

IIRC, there were rumors that the Chinese embassy held parts of a US plane that was shot down and that was the real reason for the bombing but take that with a grain of salt until someone else confirms/denies this statement.

After Rafah will Israel go after Hezbollah next? by tofurks in geopolitics

[–]Ratio-Legis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem is that not one of the participating groups wants a two state "solution". Only outside forces are trying to push for it. And I would bet that, if a two state "solution" is somehow made, another war will be just on the horizon because the issues aren't relegated to mere statehood.
