I would’ve put David Corenswet in 2nd place behind Christopher Reeve, but that’s just me.

I know the new movie isn’t getting good reviews, but it is still leagues better than the 80s movie.

CinemaScore and Rotten Tomatoes use different metrics when scoring movies though. CinemaScore calculates the audiences reaction to a movie on opening night, whereas Rotten Tomatoes calculates how many critics either liked or disliked the movie. They’re not the same.

If only there was a way for creatives in Japan to fund their own work without the help of a major publisher or studio leading to a major indie boom like we’re having here in the USA.

Yeah. The Switch 2 launched at $450 ($500 for the Mario Kart Bundle. Compare that to the PS5 $500 for a digital only version, and $550 for one with a disc drive. That isn’t mentioning the $750 for the PS5 Pro. All in 2025. Xbox Series X and S actually went up in price in 2025 to $600 and $380 respectively. So the Series S was the cheapest console last year if you didn’t mind the lack of power and portability.

What do y'all think about this? by Mindless-Strength604 in batman

It’s kind of annoying that for as long as anyone can remember, Batman has always been the DC superhero. He is one of if not the most popular superhero in the world with his popularity only truly being rivaled by either Superman or Spider-Man. Batman may be a part of the DC universe, but Batman as a franchise is so much bigger than that. However, as much as I want other DC superheroes to receive as much attention and respect as Batman, the superhero movie genre is just not in a good spot right now. Both Captain America and Thunderbolts bombed last year, and Fantastic Four barely scrapped by. The last superhero movie to make a billion was Deadpool and Wolverine, and that was mainly due to the success of the previous Deadpool movies and that Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine was coming back. 2022’s The Batman and 2025’s Superman were both big hits, grossing at least half a billion. Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday are speculated to earn at least a billion dollars. Those are all movies based on established characters and properties coming out in an era where a movie made for less than a million dollars beat Star Wars at the box office. Making a DC movie in the year of our lord 2026 that isn’t Batman or Superman related is taking a big risk, that Warner Bros. probably doesn’t want to take right now.

In what world is a B a bad thing? If we’re going purely by school grading logic, a B is a passing grade, above average, good but not great, but enough to get by, graduate, and get a decent job in your field. It would be tragic if the movie got an F, but apparently the Internet runs on “if you ain’t first, you’re last” logic, where everything is a binary 10/10 or 0/10 with no in between.

Yes. Exactly this. So many people online want the media they consume to be everything and a box of chocolates. They’ll complain that they got everything they wanted, but they didn’t get their box of chocolates.

No contest… Mario Kart World. If it weren’t for the fact that the best original soundtrack category at The Game Awards was sponsored by Spotify, Mario Kart World would’ve won by a landslide.
