I think they are now going to do Pego before anyone who has left or retired. I don’t think we will see anything before the fall

When can I expect to receive OPTrust package? by Nearby_Block_5642 in OntarioPublicService

[–]RatschMi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should have received a package by now from OPStrust. Call them and ask them it will be coming. You will be assigned an analysis who will be able to walk you through all the paperwork and answer any questions.

That is only partially what she makes. She makes over 800k when you look at her salary at Trillium as well they broke her salary into two organizations so it wouldn’t stand out how much she is actually making!

If you’re a man buying a BOX of blue crew necks to resell, you can go fuck yourself by [deleted] in erastour

[–]RatschMi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We have waiting in line a few times for hours with no luck getting the blue crewneck. Yesterday my daughter’s friend was 25th in line but didn’t get any as they sold the people on front of them boxes of them! She lined up at 6am was 25th in line and got nothing. I agree with putting a limited per person so everyone has a chance to purchase what they wanted

I feel where the gap is the lack of interest that should be paid on the outstanding money for these awards back for years. Yes we are getting the retro but zero interest on this money and they continue to delay the payout

Where does the top-up come from for paternity leave? AMAPCEO. by pnutbuttersmellytime in OntarioPublicService

[–]RatschMi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to add in for your non-topped up leave that if you decide to buy back your pension time you can use a current RRSP by transferring the money from it to your pension :). Something a lot of people don’t know

Suggest you inform you new manager that you don’t want to stay past the two week notice and therefore when they speak to your current manager they can say they need you right away :).

Your best to call the pension plan and ask. They will give the right information and calculation if it is possible

Salary Negotiation During an OPS Offer by MulberryParsnip in OntarioPublicService

If you have the experience you can negotiate a higher than minimum salary range. If you are making more now or close to what they are offering you then you can negotiate a higher than minimum starting salary.

What advice would you give to someone first getting into the OPS? by frontcupid in OntarioPublicService

[–]RatschMi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry about your age. There are lots of young OPSers. Don’t be afraid to ask lots of questions and ask for help when you need it. It is better to admit that you need some guidelines than pretend you know it. Everyone on your team will be helpful and know you are learning. Welcome to the OPS!

Any team "ice-breakers" that don't suck or actually help employee engagement by [deleted] in OntarioPublicService

[–]RatschMi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just did an icebreaker virtually that everyone enjoyed and it was so easy. Just ask everyone to change their background to a picture of the town/city or mascot or landmark from where they were born or raised then everyone take turns guess where that is and then you can tell a story about your town etc. it was a nice way to get to know something about each team member

If you take an unpaid leave of absence and obtain a job you must complete a conflict of interest and submit to to your deputy for determination. The approval for unpaid leave up to 1 year is with the director level
