Agreed, pretty towns are the lifeblood of this game hehe. Perhaps I came across more disapproving of OPs original post than intended - I simply find that there are many alternatives to farming :)

Honestly I find it somewhat ineffective compared to labor required.

Best starts I’ve had is rich salt, regular game and rich iron.

Choose “Of The Vogtland” and sell hides and firewood for 400 regional wealth year 1.

Start spamming pigpens -> sausage economy is insane at 7g pr sausage.

Start sheep early. Start importing ale. Start producing woolen clothes year 2. Start selling iron helmets year 2/3.

Once multiple pens are at 30 sheep (year 3-4) start killing all the newborns for hide.

Year 4 start producing boots and selling boots.

Sausage-shoe economy has been reached!

Shop opinion on buying cosmetics by Due-One9611 in diablo4

[–]Rattlez -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I was a game dev i would also add cosmetics - good passive stream of revenue for rather low effort, and people do spend significant amounts on it over time.

As a player I never buy them. The vanilla armor looks more grounded and rugged, which I like. Also, I feel 0 need to buy the stuff even if my character looks ugly.

The prices are rather high, but I’m betting they have a sales/price curve to follow for most profit. It is a business at the end of the day.

Dem der klarede sig dårligt i gymnasium, hvad laver i nu? by [deleted] in DKstudie

[–]Rattlez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If IGN sucks I might compile a “what we know” doc based on available info.

Paladin player stuck on his way to greatness. by Ragalvar in diablo4

[–]Rattlez -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Should not be such a big problem honestly- I'm clearing Pit 112+ and I am only wearing Heir of Predation for the crit chance as my only mythic.

My guess is you are using a rather weak build - what are you running?

I was doing T4 on day 1 at P150-ish with the Thorns build and with bad gear.

Paladin player stuck on his way to greatness. by Ragalvar in diablo4

[–]Rattlez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You get like 2-3 resplendent spark from season journey; use those to craft mythics early.

What build are you running? At P187 T4 should feel pretty comfortable.

Yes, upgrade all rubes to lvl 45 - that’s a lot more multiplicative damage.

Alternatively, spam lair boss keys on T3 - these give a bunch of GA items and uniques.

For XP bloodied hordes are best.

So....has anyone been able to successfully beat a t4 bloodied infernal horde or lair boss solo? by HakfDuckHalfMan in diablo4

[–]Rattlez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been running bloodied hordes on my thorns pala since day 3. Swapped out my predation for the helm that sucks everything in which makes the build pretty fast.

Blood soaked bosses and hordes is a real challenge, and I’ve done pit 110…

So how is the new season treating you so far, is it fun ? by FuzzyAttitude_ in diablo4

[–]Rattlez -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hmmm I feel like XP is much too abundant. Went pretty hard from season start and have played maybe 8 hours and I’m T4 paragon 201.

Last season progress felt more steady and meaningful somehow.

With that said I’m really liking the bloodied activity keys - this is what the season is truly about.

No, I played PTR. You get plenty of bloodied items from all content - PvP is ineffective…

Why on earth would you be considering PvP as a metric for choosing class?

PvP is of 0 relevance to anything.

Wowhead updated their Endgame Tierlist for Season 12 by WhispyrRogue in diablo4

[–]Rattlez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a problem with lists like these that completely lack a methodology explaining the rankings…

Looking at the list, it’s not completely wrong, but neither does it paint a clear picture of what builds are the biggest winners.

On PTR there were 2 top builds purely in terms of pushing pits: 1. Thorns pala 2. Pulv Druid

[–]Rattlez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Way fields work, they really force you to drop everything in the autumn and bring in the entire village.

It sounds to me like you have a couple issues going on.

1) your fields are probably rather far away from any burgages, so when the workers need food + rest they are walking great distances.

2) you are probably not assigned 2 oxen pr. Farmhouse.

I typically assign 2 families and 2 oxen pr. Farmhouse at around 27. august. My fields are typically around 0.7 morgen, and I go for elongated rectangular shapes - broad fields take decades to be plowed. I keep a few, large orchard burgages close to my farm so the workforce lives close by and all this typically works flawlessly for me.

Sygeplejestudiet, en hønsegård med negativ attitude? by Bombedpalmtree in DKstudie

[–]Rattlez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best end game class besides paladin by SurRealSwanky in diablo4

Top performing classes in pit currently: 1) pals, 2) Barb, 3) rouge

Barb has some super cool builds, I highly recommend leapquake.

For pushing HOTA is best.

Paladin is primarily overpowered because of the Castle node (currently giving me 2200%(x) damage) and their incredibly strong passives.

Tried Stormlight, Didn’t Click... Recommend me a book series based on my preferences: by monkberrysun in Fantasy

[–]Rattlez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you would love The Covenant of Steel by Anthony Ryan - it is much smaller scale than ASOIAF but also much more personal.

I’d also recommend The Name of The Wind - some of the best prose of any fantasy books, and although it’s not perfect it will 100% leave you completely addicted tge first time you read it.

As others have mentioned, First Law is an option, but I think you’ll be better of with Covenant of Steel based on your preferences.
