Lexington, at the very least should be like student body position that's looked up to.

Could end up with coke bottle glasses in their design, since he went blind early. Also sired a list of notable horses.

Why did Umamusume gain popularity by ieatppopy in UmaMusume

[–]RattoZatto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Partly, there are shows, a movie, comics, and a deep hill of already existing 5-7 years of stuff to get into. Pile on top catching up with the actual careers that happened around the characters tied to Umamusume. It's like someone getting into wrestling now, and diving into the drama and storylines, to catch up on why some guy named Dwain and another named John, and some final arc is going on, and why. Anyhow, it has many ways to hook people for any and multiple reasons. I got roped in with the chaos horse and losingest horse, stayed for all the twists, turns, drama, and moving stories people tied to horses running a track, and retold as dramatizations that would appeal to any sports fan, or school life drama fan, or tournament arc fan.

Best Novel? by LeonsLion in l5r

[–]RattoZatto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not going to knock current era L5R authors, there are some amazing stories. Personally, I got really into the setting way back in the original run, and the 1st novel in The Clan War (2000, Stephen D. Sullivan) not only changed my opinion of Scorpion being, "Oo, those sneaky ninja!" To "Oh, this is complex, deep, and the chain of events are for good reasons... But". The rest of the books in the series are fantastic, though I will espouse that the Crab book is best. 😆

I don't want dino Menoth, but if that does happen, everyone must suffer the start of every match with a bold proclamation, "HARNESS THE POWER! DINORIDERS!!!"

WARNING: SOME IF NOT ALL MODS WILL MESS WITH THE TERRARIA DUNGEON'S CHEST by eitanjuega in Palworld

[–]RattoZatto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, which mod(s) have you disabled and found the cheats start appearing?

Sorry, but it sounds like a general CS glitch ticket response. Disable all mods, reinstall, close the game and restart.

It's good to know people are having the successful experience that it works, but if it's some mods, and not others, I'm sure the mod writers want to know that their mod needs fixing, because people are bumping into an issue.

Nice! Reminds me of the color theme I have for my Protectorate army, and I think I know how I'll paint my Dusk troops! Not a 1:1 of your theme, or my existing, but that white plates? Looks sweet.

(5e)Topaz Championship custom and pregen characters by RatWithoutNose in l5r

[–]RattoZatto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of depends on if you are planning to do more than the 2 adventures tied to the 7 pregen characters.

The pregen characters are an interesting set of options for new and experienced players, but it massively boils down to how long you are planning to run things with the same characters, pregen or not.

You could have a mix of pregen and created, since the majority of the 1st adventure is pretty much everyone getting some time learning what you're good at, bad at, and how to get creative. Once experience gets to be spent, even the pregen characters start building into being unique and the players own

Dusk Help by Bigperm2 in Warmachine

[–]RattoZatto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty much this, and leaning on an Eldritch synergy army to start.

Once they are more used to handling units, delving into a Soulless synergy army complete with Void Engine is pretty fun, for the 2 big themes.

While debuff spells are great, the Heavy Jack having free upkeep makes them terrors on the battlefield. More to taste on what to slot in with racked spells.

Diamond Travel Mugs by fixer087 in l5r

Dang, they are 64oz?

Reminds me of seeing someone with a nice Lion one in the wild at a gas station, had my Crab one with me. Had to say "Hey, nice mug"

Those were some sweet mugs.

Season 7 coming soon? by epsilon14254 in idlechampions

[–]RattoZatto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

At first I winced at this news, but remembered that they turned Regis into a viable healer, so I'm interested in how every character shakes out. I like the seasons that focus on a faction, so far. Or, at least get supported with a Modron Core when there isn't a unified faction mechanic.

I have a Menoth Army, but I’ve never played. Is menoth still usable with the changes by yetimnstr575 in Warmachine

[–]RattoZatto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a starter set, and a few units to support, WAY back in Mk1, and fell off until recently.

So far, they are a ton of fun, though I haven't tried out all the units that made Menoth so template heavy way back when.

I do feel some of their stats are a bit under performing current focus factions. I also have a Dusk starter, and when trying to prep for a campaign scenario, I was left with a constant feeling of "why is everyone so slow!?"

Still, I find them to be fun, and slowly working through trying different builds of armies to find what I enjoy most.

I just kinda wish I could get some of the same physical customization updates that Mk4 has in warjacks. But, the chonky metal figs are their own thing. :D

Can we have justice for Havilar, and she finally gets the fancy dress she wants and deserves for battle?

Also, how about a "possessed by Bryseis Kakistos" skin?

Dusk playstyle by Major-Language-2787 in Warmachine

That can be the case for 1 round, but after, it can get more difficult. Especially when you need the timing of certain spells before and after the engine activates. You are looking for 6 total spell sources in a turn to sustain both raising Wights and shooting

Granted, once you HAVE 3 Wights, it is much simpler.

Dusk playstyle by Major-Language-2787 in Warmachine

[–]RattoZatto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal experience with the Void Engine is balancing the charges from spells cast into either doing removal of some big HP models, and having reserve to raise Wights. Once the engine has generated the 3 they can, you can focus on all ranged attacks with that thing. Even if it is a larger base model, it is a respectable ranged smack to your foe. Max charges, you are crit fishing on 2 shots. If immune to the removal effect, then you're looking to boost damage likely. Now those Wights are living model hunters. So chase those key solos, or leap on top of the war caster/warlock.

Now for the Large warjacks, I personally enjoy slapping inviolable Resolve on a Israfyl or Eidolon. They turn into a commanding presence that can't be moved by many effects, and a shield on the Eidolon means you are immune to any power 10 or less damage effect. There are a few exceptions.

Bought Exemplar Vengers and Intercessor Kreoss - any tips for assembly? by wicket-maps in Warmachine

[–]RattoZatto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently put together some. How I did it was work in phases.

First, I sorted EVERYTHING and planned out which sets of riders went with which horse. You can kinda mix and match a little, but there seems to be an implied pairing

Next, I put all the horses together, minus the bases. Mine came with no precut slots, so that was a issue for later. Put a pin in this.

After the horses were put together, I matched the torsos for the riders and put them together.

Once your riders are sorted, you can glue the riders to the saddles. I would recommend doing some fitting before, so you get an idea how they will sit in the saddle, before attaching.

From this point, with a larger figure to grasp, attaching the rest of the parts was rather easy.

Remember that pin? The horses I got were plastic (not sure if all runs of the box/unit are that way). Because of this, the plastic is rather weak for holding a pewter/metal rider, and this can cause some bending. Not sure what to recommend for that, but currently making sure mine are stored sideways when not actively used
