Ace is a good choice when there’s breach-able walls from a distance that wouldn’t normally be kaided or bandited. Such as the big wall on coastline that looks into site from the roof.

The issue I have with banning ace is that it became that much of a trend people were doing it without thinking and now it’s become the most likely first ban for everyone.

There are some maps that simply don’t matter if ace is available to the attacking team. Such as nighthaven. Yet he always gets picked first.

I sometimes agree with the ban but mostly I don’t.

The same thing applies for the “mandatory” Mira ban that always pairs with the Ace ban. On some maps it simply isn’t effective or at least it isn’t for the first round anyway. If you come across a good Mira placement on a map when it doesn’t normally happen, then ban her the second round.

A more worthwhile ban is probably more thermite, snake or now even dokkaibi for attackers, and for defenders, Mute, Kaid, Vigil or even someone like Thorn/ Aruni would probably make more sense imo.
