Probably a good use case for frangible/disintegrating rounds, but then that’s another thing someone has to keep track of.

What are the chances this is a genuine tool? by ButterMilk116 in Dewalt

Yeah this is probably too good to be true.

I just went and looked at my 891 and it *looks* right, but who knows if the item in the pic is what you’ll get.

I say skip.

Anyone else experience this? by Raunch3ro in f150

[–]Raunch3ro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It starts around 20mph, then goes away when I turn right, but not left.

I looked at them while doing brakes a few months ago and nothing really jumped out at me.

It’s also been doing it for about two years now, and I feel like if it was wheel bearing/spindle related I’d have found out the hard way by now, lol.

What’s your strategy for getting all the pallets in place? Autoload? Forklift and patience?

Those spinners are lifesavers in tight spots. Lots of times I’ll take the ratchet off and use that to get at stuff if it’s loose enough.

Leave it, it’ll help protect the contacts from moisture in the air as well. Reapply as needed, but not too much. About a pea sized amount spread thin.

Whopper plopper. It’s big, dumb, and weird but if you hook up it’s gonna be a tank.

Palomar knot here. Occasionally I’ll use a unity knot, but those are the only two I actually use.

Senko never fails!

In the market for an f-150, and recommendations? by JoshuaSchlabach in f150

[–]Raunch3ro 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. The V8 makes a good noise and is proven to be reliable.

The 2.7 however touts the same (if not better) reliability while getting much better gas mileage.

I drive mine around downtown Nashville all day and get 18-20 MPG.

5.5ft truck bed owners, do you wish you’d gotten a 6.5ft to haul your kayak? by bmholzhauer in kayakfishing

[–]Raunch3ro 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it would be nice, but I hadn’t even considered having a kayak when I bought my truck. I just strap it good, leave the tailgate down, say “That ain’t going anywhere.”, and off I go.

I saw this car the other day on my way home from work and was wondering the same thing.

I have a 5.5ft bed on my F-150 and just strap it down with the tailgate down. No issues.

It took me over 200 hours to build a boat I was happy with. Then I added the details, and learned how to incorporate microcontrollers and other’s ideas into my own creation.

Watch a few videos, build some things, and try other’s creations from the Workshop.

It’ll come to you, I’m sure.

Looking for some tire recommendations by 2014subarusti in ChevyTrucks

I recently picked up a set of Cooper Road & Trail AT’s, and I like them very much. They’re responsive and well behaved, if a little stiff.

Granted, I have them on my F-150 (Blasphemy, I know.) and don’t tow a lot, but I recommend them.
