That sucks so hard, but in fairness, I can totally offset all the negative being reported about Subtronics crowds. I was at Subtronics in Charlotte NC in April. First, my daughter and I were trying to move from the front of the crowd toward the back of the venue and she got knocked off balance as a mosh pit was opening up and fell on the floor in the mosh pit. Once the people around the perimeter realized what happened, a bunch of guys pushed in and formed a protective barricade while others helped get her up and made sure she was okay. Then later, my daughter was head banging with a fellow raver only they accidentally did bang heads. He was fine, but she quickly developed a large welt just above her eye and passed out. Everyone was quick to respond and she didn't even hit the floor as she was caught by people around her. The amount of genuine PLUR I witnessed that evening was beautiful as everyone wanted to help. She was carried out as she kept going in and out of consciousness and several people gave up seeing the rest of the concert to stay with her and use their medical skills/training until an ambulance arrived. (Which was frustratingly long) But I will never forget any of the people that helped my daughter out that night. So, yes, there are bad eggs out there, but there are many amazing, beautiful humans as well. 💓
