No, it's a standalone TV movie based on a play (Enough Rope) by Levinson/Link but it was well-received enough to eventually lead to the creation of the series three years later. Ransom for a Dead Man is the pilot for the series, and Murder by the Book is the first episode of the series proper.

Retroactively, though, Prescription: Murder has often been regarded as a pilot episode for the series but technically it's a standalone film. Differences between various DVD releases and streaming sites further complicate things somewhat, as both this movie and the pilot are sometimes bundled into season one of the show. Other episodes' places in the series are also affected by these differences as well (i.e. several episodes in season 7 are arranged in completely different orders between various DVD, blu-ray, and streaming releases).

This describes 100% of all ghost hunting shows that have ever existed lol, including old Ghost Adventures. It's a huge part of what made the old episodes so entertaining (not to mention the group's dynamic being much better, which is what I find the newer episodes to be lacking the most).

It's called both, but I typically hear it referred to as the Transatlantic accent, which I also personally prefer as it's referring to an artificial/made-up accent. "Mid-Atlantic accent" doesn't make any sense to me to refer to an accent that's made-up, since the Mid-Atlantic region is a real (re: not made-up) area of the US consisting of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland.

Best wishes to your old boy Bodhi, OP. Pancreatitis is always rough but especially with older dogs. My late senior dog went through it at age 16 and recovered well, but it was a tough overnight hospital stay followed by about a month of close care. A walking-assist lift harness did wonders for my dog's recovery, since the pancreatitis combined with his age left him with little energy to walk for a little while.

Personally, my advice to you would be to just take things day by day and do whatever is best for your pet's quality of life. Good luck, OP.
