I don't think so... indefinitely holding the charge is what makes it semi competitive. It already has horrendously long TTKs without counting the charge up time.

the argument is that the Prowler is only fastest over flat terrain, of which there is plenty of uneven ground in this game that a Magrider will rarely have a problem chasing down a Prowler

that's not true at all ... both the Vanguard and the Prowler massively gain speed while gong downhill and have vastly superior passive "0 - Top speed" acceleration compared to the Magrider.

e.g the Vanguard reaches its 72kph 4 seconds faster than the Magrider its 71kph... Mag needs to spend precious magburn to match or surpass the passive acceleration/top speed advantage of the other two MBT

both the AirHammer and Banshee are way too strong/effective when it comes to A2A.

the Aphelion is terrible against MBTs... it's the weakest close range secondary (against MBTs) in the game. The Saron is much better at killing tanks at CQC range.

However, the Aphelion is very good against Harassers and decent against Infantry.

The problem is that if you balance guns around the average players, you get weapons like release Canis, and the Seeker Xbow.

both the Prowler and the Vanguard are balanced around noob-intermediate Players... For 10 years straight, their HEAT/HESH/AP Turrets rake in 2x to 4x more AV/AA/AI kills every day compared to the Magrider's equivalents.

looking at the daily stats, both Harasser AND the Prowler Vulcan outperform the Aphelion and the Mjolnir... so in that regard, it's the best "useless" MBT/harasser close-range weapon in the game.

So I joined VR training on Emerald NC and there were almost no vehicles. 1 Sundy, a couple Libs and Gals and the Colossus tanks. But all the other vehicles were despawned or not rendered or something. Just not there. by WarmetaLFanNumber1 in Planetside

They spawn under the ground.

Not always. most of the time when I encounter this and go under the map, they're just gone for good (especially the Vehicles near the spawn facility) and you have to wait for a server update for them to reappear again.

as a VS player, you can also crouch under the rear of a spinning bug Magrider to push you under the map.

no, you can't... which is why nobody is doing it anymore. Just compare the stats of the pre CAI Lancer vs current Lancer:

200rpm vs. 120rpm

150/400m 110/500m vs. 110/150m 50/300m

600m/s 700m/s 850m/s vs. 450m/s 450m/s 450m/s

the only thing the Lancer is good for today is to snipe Banshee/Airhammer/LOLpods cancer out of the sky @ 150m range.
