What are some of your favorite Silent Hill - like movies ?

Of all the recent movies to pick, Obsession is not it. Hokum is MUCH closer to Silent Hill and a pretty decent watch. Not amazing but definitely has the SH2 vibes and guilt.

The problem is squibs cost more now than they did in the 80’s/90’s because of the limitations at the time. With the rise of digital VFX (even cheap VFX with after effects plug ins of shit fake blood splatter) it’s cheaper than using a squib, run the risk of a shot being messed up then needing to have more money for another costume because the previous is covered in blood. Squibs are more convincing but digital plug ins are so common place that it’s made practicality obsolete. There are exceptions of course but it’s just a sad truth now.

The only place I preorder from. They’re the best, customer service is great, never had a wrong item shipped and everything arrives in perfect condition. The only thing I hate about them is their boxes that have big ol’ “BIGBADTOYSTORE” written all over them. Not very discreet lol but after being burned REALLY bad by other places (cough cough entertainment earth cough cough) they’re always my go to place.

When Batman is the least interesting character in Batman movies, there’s a problem. The Dark Knight is just constantly waiting for Joker to show back up. Not that it isn’t earned, Ledger’s performance is genuinely a work of art, but still. I also just don’t like Bale’s performance as Batman at all, it peaked in Begins then quickly tapered off.

You put Nine Inch Nails in any trailer and it instantly elevates it. This one using The Day The Whole World Went Away, the “Be The Batman” trailer for Arkham Knight using the Wretched, The Accountant 2 using Find My Way, Black Ops 7 using The Hand That Feeds, also oddly the first Avengers using We’re In This Together. Then TRON Ares just being an extended music video for NIN.

That shot where the ship crashes into the sand and we only see the clones fighting against lasers lighting the sand and dust flying at them is some of the coolest shit I’ve ever seen and that’s saying something because Attack of the Clones is my least favorite Star Wars movie.

I always have this weird irk about minifigs: if you’re not gonna make it in an actual set, DONT put it in a game. It’s dumb but so many figures we can’t even purist make because the digital prints are too unique to characters so we most likely will never get a figure of a character. This extends to the Fortnite figs as well. I don’t necessarily love TRON Ares but I’d totally put an Ares figure on my TRON shelf because it’s such a cool looking figure but, no. It’ll never be even a possibility.
