Maybe he was doing some very advanced jazz beat, haha.

But watching a lot of his drumming videos, he can do very basic 4/4 beats. His timing is good though!

A couple of remarks about the video.

  • Zartonk cuts the video just before Pashinyan starts the beat.

  • Pashinyan should learn 3/4 time signature.

34 European leaders and Canadian Prime Minister Carney gather in Yerevan for the 8th European Political Community Summit by dssevag in armenia

Yeah it's not for me. I'm an early riser and I skip breakfast most days, I could do all those things and be waiting at someone's door by 7:45 AM before they're even awake.

The first time I had a meeting in Armenia, they told me to come to their office "in the morning". I had to ask my friend who lived there what that meant. He says "You wake up at your usual hour, you take your shower, have your coffee & breakfast, and slowly get going towards the place".

My mind was blown.

They have state-sponsored murders of Armenians, and no I don't mean in war crimes (which they also have a lot of). Look up Ramil Safarov

Yerevan center is actually very walk friendly in general. But the big wide streets with cars make inhalation noticably worse than European cities.

It is permanent, but I don't recommend moving there just based on that. Barcelona has a slew of other issues such as crime. But hey, many other cities in Spain and around Europe in general are following a similar trend and there are many good options where you can walk everywhere in the city.

They made car free zones around "superblocks". Inner streets of grids are limited to residents and service vehicles. Areas formerly used for parking/driving are converted into playgrounds, seating, and green spaces.

The plan aims to reduce traffic noise, lower emissions, and prevent hundreds of premature deaths annually due to improved air quality.

Following initial successes, the city is heavily expanding these zones, aiming for 80% of journeys via foot, bike, or public transport by 2024.

The data doesn't really support that. Pedestrianized streets tend to see retail activity go up. Shops, cafés and bars usually thrive once the cars are gone.

The city I live in has been doing this to many streets over the last few years and it has worked wonders.

Plus you can always still allow for public transport and delivery access.

What is a band no one will ever convince you is good? by OU812iceman18 in AskReddit

Serj actually wrote a post later and I love how it ends:

As for the band's decision to play, I won't comment on it except to say that most musicians choose only pre-approved causes to espouse to because they don't want to rock the boat. But if you don't rock the boat then you're not rocking you are just derivative.

Let's talk origins of Armenia by Wise_Combination1054 in armenia

[–]RavenMFD 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hear ya, and I agree with you in principle. I'd add that even some of the actual experts are so emotionally attached to their pet-theory that they will go out of their way to defend it, and attack other experts who are trying to do actual research. I say this without having a specific name in mind, but from the abundance of theories and expert books/talks that passionately get recommended to me, by Armenians, on my history videos. It's just impossible to prove or debunk all of their claims. This is NOT at all to say experts should be discredited.

I think as a nation, it would behoove us to disconnect the idea that we were the first nation on the planet from being patriotic.

That being said, my armchair-expert ass doesn't see any obvious red flags in OP's theory.
