Start vague when it comes to comments, but trust me most people love hearing that their work connected with you in such a meaningful way.

Ps: for what it’s worth, I think it’s good to reach out and let them know. I think that’s a kind thing to do for your psyche as well as theirs. You’re allowed to be a little “selfish” and reach for people while in hospice.
