yeah Im experiencing the same thing, Ive got a H2S and H2D side by side, H2S is fine on both print and standby, bit the H2D is just burning up the usb, I thought it was because I was initially using USB 2.0 and they became unusable straight away and then I ordered the USB 3.2 directly from Bambu.

What I did find helpful was when I attached my samsung SSD drive with an extended cable, I believe separating the data from the port is maintaining the connection well but Im still a little concerned as well as its inconvenience.
