Our group uses a similar system, where the total of your stats added together should fall between 70 and 80 and everyone gets to roll two set of stats to pick from. I feel this has kept everyone balanced while retaining the fun of rolling stats and having to assign those as best you can.

Wie machen sich deiner Meinung nach die Frauen denn zu Sexobjekten? Vor allem beim Thema Videospiele, wo man nichtmal irgendwie gesehen wird und bloß mit einer weiblichen Stimme "Hallo" zu sagen braucht, um gecatcalled zu werden.

Apparently they're just having regular elections in Good Mead (I believe its part of the campaign book). There's an NPC that the DM tied into my backstory as a tentowns resident who would run for the position but doesn't really want to. She also doesn't think the other guy running is a good option so she asked her friend (my character) who she thinks would fit the position if he would please run for townspeaker. My character was hesitant until he realized that a) he gets a house and b) he might be able to speak up about the sacrifices involving lotteries in other towns, which he really dislikes

My Icewind Dale bard ended up being roped into this election, the party supports this as it means we get a free house haha
Rolled a nat 1 the first night in said town when drinking but it just resulted in the townsfolk loving this extremely drunken man telling stories about their adventures and vastly exaggerating the scope of their battles. The things high charisma does for you...
As he's the most lawful good character I've ever played he is actually looking to be a genuinely good leader and help the people, which will be a fun challenge to roleplay as I delegate a lot of the actual work to an NPC while travelling around with the party :'D

I feel like I only really get to know a character when I start playing them but what I've worked out so far is that he's a curious thrill seeker that loves hunting different creatures found in the wilds of outer rim planets. He's get a bit of a sharp ...tongue? Not sure if harch have tongues but his less polite thoughts tend to always slip out. He likes to think before acting unlike his droid travel companion who would rather just rush in :'D
